It's official...Sheva to Chelsea

Why do you need 34? An example, Wright-Philips was a base player in Man City, how many times did he play in Chelsea? Very little I think. When you start buying players to put them in the stands so they don't play against you then it's over the top, still imo of course.

Which (i think) was my original point.

You have to realise, though, that it is meant to be a
honour and the pleasure of watching, week in and week out
quality players sit on the bench, if that, as opposed to them actually PLAYING elsewhere :jambo::jambo::jambo::jambo:

How many times did J. Cole play in the first Mourinho season? Not a lot and he's now a regular. My point being Mourinho likes to introduce fringe players gradually. He would not buy a player if he's not in his long terms plans. SWP will play a bigger part in next season.

To argue Chelsea buy players so they can't be signed by their rivals is pure ludicrous. Players and their agents aren't that fickle you know.

and that is a great point Toon. Chelsea have always maintained a squad of 25 players. At the moment there are 30 but some will leave, and that will bring the numbers down. I dont think a squad of 25 players is excessive.

I dont like to see good players underused either. SWP is a great player and I was looking forward to him being a regular at Chelsea. Even now I am at a loss to find an exlpanation for Jose's reasons for starving him of action. All I do know is that Jose thinks the World of him and would not think of letting him go.

Toon Army was right using Joe Cole as an example. Maybe Jose likes to see how some players cope in the first season with so much bench time. Will they sulk and want out, or will they fight for a place when they get the chance? SWP is not the kinda young fella to be happy doing a Bogarde. He wants to play, and to give the guy his due, he has said he will wait for his chance.

As for having quality players on the bench. What else would you want on the bench...crap players? We want quality players in the team, on the bench and waiting in the wings. If every club had the rescources that we have, they could afford to do the same. If that seems unfair and seems to give Chelsea an unfair advantage. Tough, thats life. We had to live with it for decades when all the big boys of Europe threw us their scraps. Now the role is reversed, the big boys and all their fans don't like it.

I don't agree with everything Jose does at the time that he does it, but time has taught me that, as far as man management is concerned, he seems to be able to tell the men from the boys. The funny thing is though is that, everyone says SWP should leave Chelsea. Everone but SWP himself.

William, Crespo and Gallas are first team players. They do not sit in the stands. If people think that we should sell our fringe players thats fine. Does Milan want Huth,Carlton Cole,Del Horno,Glen Johnson,Oliveira, or Scott Sinclair? No? I thought not. Not many other teams want them either mate and thats why they do not play for us.

Only 11 players will ever be on the pitch at any one time. We know that and all the players know that. If they want to come to Chelsea to chance their luck then they are welcome to. As said earlier, nobody puts a gun to their heads, but when they sign a contract they do not leave without the clubs say so. Personally I would let Crespo go tomorrow, he has whinged for 2 years that he wants to return to Italy, and to be honest we are sick and tired of his crying, but if he is not happy then let him go. I do agree that if someone is not happy at a club then let them leave, for a fair return in a transfer fee of course.

Gallas is a different matter. He is sulking until he gets the deal that he wants. He wants more money, which he deserves, and a longer contract which he also deserves. Chelsea should give him what he wants and then he will be happy and stay.

Crespo was called back to Chelsea last year because Milan refused to let Shevchenko go, it was just a retaliation, Milan wanted to buy Crespo then, but Chelsea refused. That revolts me beyond belief, I would give Abramobitch and the special one a header that would put their nosebone in their brains for that...

Crespo is married to an Italian woman and she is homesick and he is homesick too, he loves Italy (although he is Argentine) he loves to play in the Serie A, but hey stfu Crespo we at Chelsea keep you here, np.

Gallas said he wanted to go to Milan, now you got Sheva but hey np Gallas stays in LOndon even on the bench if he mustr, and Milan wanted to buy him, but no, he's not for sale. Guess what? We'll have him for free next year, since they are only keeping him there because they won't have him in Milan when they play the CL next year (I bet we will be in the same group and Judas will score).

But back to Gallas, why would you refuse transfer money for him to send him one year before his contract expires to Milan?

Because you have the unlimited money cheatcode, courtesy of the Russian maffia.

Crespo was called back to Chelsea last year because we desperately needed another striker besides Drogba. Milan would not sell Sheva so that left us with no choice but to recall him. It had nothing to do with retaliation at all. Maybe thats how it is in Italy but in England it isn't like that. Don't forget, we were still paying half Crespos wages all the time he was at Milan. Milan were offered Crespo to buy outright but they said no, they just wanted him on loan. Why should we pay Crespo to play for you? thats just stupid man. We know Crespo's situation, we know about his personal life. If Milan want him then let them buy him. The trouble is, Milan dont wanna pay for him, they want him back on loan. Well fu<k that.

As for gallas, he is worth more to us if he stays than any money Milan are willing to pay. We need him. Gallas's problem is about his contract. He has no real desire to leave, he's playing mind games to get a better deal, which I hope he gets. He has no great desire to join Milan either. He's just using Milan to add weight to his demands.

When you talk about the Russian mafia, you need only to look as far as Burlosconi. The most corrupt man ever to be involved in football. This man IS Mafia and your country elected the crook as your leader. ..... :kader:

Abramovich is not a mafiosi, he is an oligarch with exceptional people's skills. When Putin took over, he began to get rid of all the oligarch who stole money from the country, but Abramovich found his way round, that's all. How do you define mafia? Like Godfather/Scarface type or just someone who steals lots of money and gets away with it?

There is a joke in Russia: "If you steal from one person, you go to jail, but if you steal from the whole country, then you go to London."

Gallas in fresh Blues blast
skysports.com

William Gallas has blasted his employers Chelsea and insists he will not be signing a new contract.

The English champions are fighting hard to keep the French international, who is wanted by Milan.

Gallas has never been slow in making his feelings known about his Chelsea situation - and he has again revealed his discontent with life in West London.

"I was disappointed with the Chelsea directors when I wanted to renegotiate my contract, I cannot accept the lack of respect," he told The People.

"If they had given me what I had wanted at the start of the season, I would have decided to stay.

"Now they are offering me more than AC Milan, but it is too late."

Milan have already said they will wait for Gallas, whose contract is due to expire next summer - but the French international is keen to secure a summer move and talks over his future are likely to continue over the next few weeks.

So much for wanting to stay in Chelsea...

I told you man, he is sulking like a baby, and playing silly games. I do agree that Kenyon did treat him badly by not offering him a new contract sooner, but the guy needs to grow up and stop bitching. We value him highly as a player but now he seems to think that we cannot survive without him, when we can of course. He is good but he is hardly the greatest CB in the World, although he himself does think so. Lets see where this goes.
