Cannavaro's number is #17 from Parma. That belongs to Trezeguet..

Miccoli getting some weird number (#13) surely means he's on the way out.
fair point, but what else could have possibly gotten that wasn't wierd for a forward?

I don't know if that really means anything. Although it's weird that there is no number 15, unless I'm missing something...

Well I think this means we'll keep Blasi for sure.
Any news about that Pires/Tudor exchange? I hope it doesn't happen, we don't need old players, we need young replacements for some of our veterans.

Usually 15 is a number for side-backs, especially RBs, who's Moggi thinking of?

I'm happy if we keep Blasi. He played all year with a groin injury.

I wouldn't do the Tudor/Pirès trade. Pirès can leave for free if he makes a deal with Arsenal. We should keep Tudor as backup ot if he wants to leave let's buy Gonzalo Rodriguez of.......Villareal. ;)

I think a RB will come: Oddo, Miguel, Alves...

Tacchinardi joins Villarreal Thursday 28 July, 2005
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi will play for Villarreal next season, the Spanish outfit have confirmed.

Reports this morning suggested that a deal was close and the La Liga club have confirmed his capture on their website this evening.

"Villarreal, Juventus and Alessio Tacchinardi have reached an agreement so that the player will appear in La Liga next term," read a note.

The 30-year-old has spent 11 years at the Stadio Delle Alpi following his switch from Atalanta as a teenager.

Economical details regarding the move have yet to be revealed.

The international becomes the second Juve midfielder to head for Spain after Enzo Maresca was sold to Sevilla earlier this summer.

well coming back on after 2 weeks of preparing for a lot of college things i come back to a transfer. i think that this is a great move for alessio. the man has been our vice captain for a few years now.. i think ever since conte left alessio took the honour. now he will be at least open to first team football again. and as mark said grazie alessio.

finally....

Should have gotten rid of him last summer.

Played for more than a decade and played well for the most part. Hope he does well in Spain (i highly doubt it for some reason)

So what do you think guys? any more buys?

I'd be happy with Oddo and that's it. What about you?

or maybe a decent backup keeper, like Antonioli or Sicignano.

or a striker if Zalayeta wants to leave, like Milito.

or a LM/RM to rest Camo and Neddy, like Pirès

or a CB if Tudor wants to go like, Gonzalo Rodriguez or Barzagli.

or......................... lol

A good RB and we're ok (Y)

I didn't ask you Mikey lol

We're not selling Blasi and Chiellini :|

we need at least 23-25 players in the team.(Serie A, Coppa Italia, CL, NT)

Blasi and Chiellini are important to La Nazionale, therefore regular playing time is key. :jambo:

Why do you need so much DM, Gianni/Viera/Emerson/Tudor is enough.

I'll make you a deal, co-ownership of Blasi + Birindelli + one night with DP's wife in exchange for Oddo. I'll also trade Chimenti for a half eaten salami sandwich

Giannichedda alone isn't enough of a backup for Vieira and Emerson. Tudor isn't ideally suited for a place in midfield. Lippi tried and it didn't really work now did it ? He played there out of necessity. Tudor would be a quality backup as CB.

Emerson, Vieira, Giannichedda, Blasi (Y) very sound set of DMs.

As for Chiellini, hes the only backup for Zambrotta and so he'll stay. He'll get his chances.

Miguel / Oddo / Alves for RB ? I'd take Miguel. I don't know much about Alves but from what little i've heard he sounds just as promising. I'm not too thrilled about the possibility of getting Oddo ... 2 seasons ago yes... not now. But hey, i'd take him over Zebina so any one of those 3 would be ok really.

Mikey its all about having 2 11s both capable of winning -

The A team

Buffon

Miguel ?
Thuram
Cannavaro
Zambrotta

Camoranesi
Emerson
Vieira
Nedved

Trezeguet
Ibrahimovic

Team B

Chimenti

Zebina
Kovac
Tudor
Chiellini

Mancini ?
Giannichedda
Blasi
Olivera

Del Piero
Zalayeta

__________

besides there there might me a surprise still in store....

The squad has much more depth than last term and thats one thing which is ever so important when playing on 3 fronts.. or even 2.

RUSI

El Merengue Argentino
Right Now, I have no doubts that the two best teams in the world would be Chelsea and Juventus.

But I repeat, RIGHT NOW. :crazyboy:
