Canna: Juve can win it all
Fabio Cannavaro claims that Juventus can win everything this season with the winning mentality that Inter sorely lack.

“This year we can triumph in every competition and we know that, but it’s still early to say,” assured the defender.

Juventus are on stunning form this term with six consecutive wins in Serie A and two in the Champions League, opening up a five-point lead over Milan and Fiorentina.

“Patrick Vieira has given us extra quality, quantity and a few more goals, but he’s not the only one who has made the difference. Juve’s strength above all the others is a winning mentality.”

The 2-0 victory over Inter last week highlighted the Bianconeri’s capabilities and Cannavaro believes it also showed who will be the real Scudetto contenders.

“Milan are a very strong side and play good football. Despite the fact they’ve stuttered a little to begin with, I think they remain the ones to beat in Serie A. Inter have a squad of remarkable quality, but perhaps they are a little weak on a psychological level.”

Capello snubs Azzurri option
Monday 10 October, 2005
Juventus boss Fabio Capello has again hinted that he is not interested by the idea of coaching a national side.

Capello has achieved just about everything in the club game after winning honours with Milan, Real Madrid, Roma and now Juventus.

Some have talked about him as a possible Italian national boss in the future but that idea seemingly doesn’t appeal.

"I’m happy and proud that Italy have now qualified for the World Cup with a game to spare," said the tactician.

"However, I am certainly not jealous of my colleague Marcello Lippi or of his successes."

Capello would be a prime candidate to become the next Azzurri Coach seeing that he is widely regarded as one of the best in Europe.

The multi-Scudetto winner, who was approached by the English FA before they appointed Sven Goran Eriksson, seemingly prefers domestic football though.

Capello, who won the title with Juventus at his first attempt last term, is contracted to the Old Lady until June 2007.

Lippi’s contract with the Italian national side currently expires after next summer’s World Cup in Germany.

The Azzurri qualified for that event on Saturday night when a Cristian Zaccardo header was enough to beat Slovenia.

Italy are next in action on Wednesday when they play Moldova at Lecce’s Via Del Mare Stadium.

I see more papers writing about Henrys transfer now. RealMadrid are also willing to pay for him, but ti's being said that he would like to follow his former team captain, Vieira.
It wouldn't surprise if he went to Juve, Arsenal are not as good as they was.

Henry... mmm... no thanks... I'm happy with our current forwards. Zlatan and Trez as our starting duo is class, and I dont think Henry will settle for the role Mutu, Del Piero and Zalayeta are currently in. Or lets play him as a winger again!! Or a wingback!! :(:(;) jk. :p

me neither, but IF transfers to us, one of our two current will have to make place I'm sure.

some other funny thing I read in the paper to day:

this unemplyed swedish guy won 120,000,000 (about €15,000,000 I think) in the swedish lottery and for that he wants to buy Zlatan to a swedish 2nd division club :).
I guess he's not all that serious, but one never know about crazy swedes, maybe he'll come with an offer? :shades:

Lapo Elkann Hospitalized For Drug Overdose
10/10/2005 3:10:00 PM
Agnelli heir and influential Juventus consultant Lapo Elkann was hospitalized this morning for what appears to be a drug overdose.
Reports indicate Elkann was admitted in a Turin hospital around 9 am this morning following an emergency call made by an unnamed woman from Lapo’s city-center apartment.

Unconfirmed statements talk about a cocaine overdose, even though the use of other, possibly stronger drugs, can’t be ruled out.

Accoring to hospital sources, Lapo’s life isn’t in danger.

Lapo is the grand-son of the late Gianni Agnelli, and is currently the marketing director of the family’s crown jewel, car company FIAT.

Even though he isn’t part of the Juventus management team, Lapo's family lineage gives him a great amount of power over the decision making for what concerns ‘La Vecchia Signora.’

Henry to Juve? Simply put, that would suck. Though I can't see it happening. You guys are more then set with your current lineup of forwards. But we sure could use him. Adriano and Henry. Wow. Wow. :O

Pfft... and that's Agnelli's heir... The guy always looks like a joke in the media. His ''player'' reputation, the comments he makes sometimes, and now this.
