phew that was a relief !

FT 2-1 Juve

Capello's substitutions baffled me... Zalayeta for Mutu ? and Zebina for Balzaretti (N)

He seems reluctant to make changes when they are necessary and makes illogical ones when the situation demands otherwise.

When Zlatan is unavailable, why would you take Mutu off ? and for Zalayeta ?!

Cannavaro saved Juve's blushes.

didn't watch the game.. hope we had lots of chances... for me with all the respect it's a warning sign when you win a game with two goals from set pieces by a defender no less...
great job fabio.. saved us once more

why are you always so negative ?

did you see what Empoli did ? They just stopped playing and set up a 10 man defense once they scored. And mind you, they scored from a (very well taken) set piece.

Del Piero hit the woodwork couple of times as well.

i still cant bring myself to say fabio cannavaro just scored 2 goals for juventus and saved us. he is loving it at turin for sure. i hope the team can pick up a bit coz it sounds like they are in a bit of a struggle. the 1-1 draw to chievo was very tight and this 2-1 result was definitely tight. the players are tiring but lets hope our form slumps occur when we win but only narrowly. i hope to not drop many points in the next 4 months.

lets discuss for arguments sake, last year Zlatan gave "wonder assists" as well but he managed some.. 15 goals? this year he gives assists yeah, but doesnt score much nor does he put himself in good scoring positions.

I honestly think he was better last year and is suffering what Kaká suffered. The second season syndrome. However, this only means that he'll come back better than ever next season :(

He is not having a sophomore slump by any means.

He has had many close calls which would have doubled his goal tally in the Serie A and we wouldn't be having this discussion.

He also has 3 goals in the CL.

Apart from his drought in front of goal, he has been excellent. His job is not to sit in the box and wait for something to come his way. He gets the ball near the opponents box and he tries to find someone waiting in the middle and that suits the team just fine... i mean Juve have 44 goals (2nd only to Milan with 47 and have conceded 10 more)... and have 12 in the CL (joint 3rd).

lol hey dont worry mate,

i have been a member on these forums a couple yrs more than u. believe me ive seen how we all react to form slumps. dont worry about it when it comes it comes. if juve are as professional as we know they are they will get them selves out of the form slump. we are not in one yet though. a draw to chievo and a 2-1 from the head of cannavaro twice isnt exactly a crisis.

I know it's no crisis.. i'm just afraid all those minor issues will haunt us like they did last year in the champions league and the seria-a.. i hope capello won't try any crazy new stuff or if he will it better work. finally these dumbasses here will broadcast juve's next game on sunday :)

Sheva-7, you're ignoring the fact that Zlatan is not your typical striker. He just isn't the type that scores a lot and Juve knew that when they bought him. Ajax fans realized he wasn't the type that would score 20+ goals every season.
