Forza Suarez! (ps brotha can you spare a dime?)
Ziegler got fed up already with having to do his job and fight for a first team spot, so Conte gave Marotta the ok to sell him. Not the type of player we need.

judging by this type of coverage and similar stuff makes me think he won't be just another young player we sign that's going to rot on the bench. sometimes when we sign a player with potential you just know he's not going to feature at all cause you don't even see the club mentioning him anywhere.

Apparently Juventus reached an agreement with HSV for the transfer for Eljero Elia.

However, in an interview with a Dutch newspaper this morning Elia said he isn't too thrilled about Juventus... He's afraid of racism in stadiums, and tactically speaking he doesn't know whether he'll fit in Serie A, also because he might have a hard time playing against double coverage. He would much rather play in England for Arsenal.

Juventus transfers have become such a tragic affair... This has ''flop'' written all over it. Don't forget he didn't succeed at HSV and he's mostly coming off the bench for them. I do remember he had a great start for them, but then he struggled with injuries.

I like Elia. I'm actually happy he's coming to Juve, he's fast, young and has potential to become better. Now all we need is a good solid CB.

Yeah, that's true. The Dutch media really made it seem like Juve had to convince him with a big money offer to sign with us. English teams never got serious, and he decided to go to Turin after all. Wasn't really nice to hear.

I do think it's awesome we finally have two classic wingers with Elia and Krasic. Both of them in top form improves Juve x100, it's really one of the greatest weapons in football, and not many teams have that.

Ol' Giovanni Agnelli could've told him a couple of things about fashion, though...

I'm not happy with the signing btw, since he thinks he has been forced to join us. I can see him becoming complacent (Italian teams being defensive, him not coping with it) rather than trying to improve.

The Von Trapps
it's a pre-EURO season, so he'll have to push hard for first team chances ...

and clearly he's a fickle chap, so just like his mind's been changed about joining Juve, I expect him to end up saying he is enjoying his time at the club fairly soon ...

It just wasn't his first choice, but that's no big deal. Tons of players have thrived at clubs that weren't their first choice. Not everyone can play for Real Madrid.

4-2-4 (actually an offensive 4-4-2): Buffon; De Ceglie, Chiellini, Barzagli, Lichtsteiner; Elia, Pirlo, Vidal, Krasic; Vucinic, Matri.

Pirlo in a two-man midfield could be a major problem, I'm not sure how Conte will solve this.

Another problem is the center of our defense. Chiellini does not have a worthy CB partner, and Marotta failed to get Alex, Lugano or Bruno Alves. It's 6PM on the 31st and Marotta declared: ''IL MERCATO E CHIUSO.'' (source: Gazzetta dello Sport). Ouch, Marotta, ouch... He really f*cked up in that department. :(

At least Elia is honest, Roque Santa Cruz said that is was a childhood dream for him to join Betis (H).

Can somebody explain why Juve has 8 forwards:

Matri
Vučinić
Del Piero
Quagliarella
Amauri
Iaquinta
Toni
Giaccherini

and just two wingers and apparently that system need two:

Krasić
Elia
Pepe and Marchisio can play there but it's not their natural post.

I don't see a balance here.

Giaccherini is more like a left winger. Amauri won't get anywhere near the first team, Iaquinta will be injuried anyway, same for Del Piero and Toni most likely.

It was better to get rid of at least Amauri.

Defense is not that bad, I like it this way:
Lichtsteiner - Bonucci - Chiellini - Ziegler (Swiss and Italian combination)

Pirlo will be Juve's best signing this year, you first heard it here.

Would wouldn't want to play at the club of the Great Denilson!
