Yeah I read some statement made by him that he wants to stay at Juventus, which is a smart thing to do.

I have only seen Morata once playing for Spanish national team, that was the game against Ukraine when he scored from a beautiful Koke assist. But he wasn't that impressive in that game in my opinion. His first touch on the ball was always too heavy and he seemed to lack confidence. Maybe it's because he's still quite young and lacks that sort of experience, but eventually that will come.

his first touch is actually pretty good, he can also hold up the ball decently, got some pace too. he can actually shoot which is pretty rare with strikers nowadays.

his finishing is usually good, but if he misses one or two chances he gets pretty frustrated. and that's where his problem lies. gets angry quickly and then seems to lack confidence. but I think that's due to his age more than his qualities. I don't mind it because I like players that actually care and want to do their best.

Vidal had the same issue and he turned out well in the end, I'm confident Morata will become great too.

Oh I see. Yeah I can't judge him based on a few performances I've seen from him, but yeah he has looked quite good at times. And the way you worded it made it sound poetic!

got (wrongly) red carded against Fiorentina at their stadium and he was getting abuse from their fans while getting off the field so he started applauding and saluting them as if they were cheering. pretty funny since we have a strong rivalry with the Viola.

I see.

BTW I must admit I thought Morata was going to flop hard in Juve, from what I've watched he hasn't exactly excelled but for a first season in a new team he's doing pretty well. Still not a fan of his style, but credit where it's due.

Leaving Madrid was absolutely the right thing to do for Morata, and he couldn't have picked a better club than Juve I think. He wouldn't have gotten any playing time at Madrid and would've stayed as a bench warmer. Benzema is almost never injured and is the perfect striker for Madrid, unselfish and can accept that role where he mostly has to play for others (Ronaldo and Bale). At Juve he's pretty much a regular starter and it's good for his further development.

agreed, there's no place for a real #9 at Madrid with Ronaldo and Bale. that's why they chose Benz over Higuain I reckon.

regarding Morata, if he hadn't gotten his knee injured at the start of the season he would have benched Llorente way faster. he was out for like 2 months or so and then he slowly had to build his match fitness.

anyway, I'm glad neutrals are watching Juve too. some activity around here would be great. (Y)

What the fuck is wrong with SG these days?!

Benzema is far from a striker that would match the quality of Ream Madrid's players in other positions. He is average but he allows Real Madrid to get the best out of Bale and Ronaldo.

I think he did a good job at Madrid, and I still consider him one of the top strikers. He would score a lot more without Ronaldo.

Btw, he also has a better goal ratio in the Champions League than Raul, Henry, Shevchenko, Drogba, Zlatan, Del Piero and Eto'o between others.
