Xaviesta

Starting XI
Tevez: "It’s much easier to score in the Premier League. The ball continually comes & goes. The midfield doesn’t exist. You only think about scoring"

Tevez: "Here you see 1 ST up against 5 defenders. It’s a lot more difficult than in England."

that's what I'm afraid of, starting an unfit Pirlo against their fast players, with Monaco needing to score. hoping his experience in matches like this one will come in handy. or maybe Max will go for a 3-5-2 with Chiellini - Bonucci - Barzagli at the back and Marchisio as defensive mid.

There will finally be a key game where pirlo pulls a gerrard, cracks and shows that in the blink of an eye age has transformed him from a saviour into a liability, will this be that game?

doubt it. I mean he never was a physical player but over the years he developed his awareness and anticipation. I think I've seen him misplace a pass rather than have the ball taken away from him due to pressing.

thing is, the more he ages, the more cover he needs from the other midfielders in the defence. he started playing really deep now to compensate his lack of speed, you can see him drop between Chiellini and Bonucci a lot.

Dude's a zen master. You could argue that physically he's not in prime but it wasn't physical condition that made Gerrard slip. Pirlo might slip taking a free-kick, nothing more.

Vidal with tonsilitis, tevez and morata both vomiting, pirlo really underdone - I'm proud of this team

heroic stuff from the fellas. insane what Allegri did this year, with an unfit Vidal, Barzagli and Asamoah out for most of the season, completely out of form Llorente and Pogba missing for almost 3 months.

everything feels normal again.

Juventus haven't conceded a single goal this season in a match where Barzagli has played
