La Liga Thread [Season 2006/07]

In the 2003/04 season, before playing us in the Nou Camp, Queiroz said : Barca no es solo Ronaldinho. The man was just being polite

Today, if you say Barcelona is Ronaldinho, you deserve to be laughed at. Such a statement is an insult to a team that has Puyi, Zambro, Messi, Pichichi, Deco, Xavi, Ludo, Thuram and Rafa. I didn't include the likes of Iniesta and Eidur.
Like Socrates said, we're stronger with him, but we could do without him. Not that I would ever want to try it, tho

I'm expecting big things from this season.
Real Madrid are getting new reinforcements, like Emerson, Cannavaro, Nistelrooy, that have proven they are some of the best in the world.
Barcelona is the champion and CL champ as well, do I need to say more? Valencia is building a good team slowly, and Villareal with Riquelme is always a pleasure to watch. And with Aimar in Zaragoza. I dunno, but this league can be very very exciting.

I think Real Madrid will win this year. But will be a very even contest with Barcelona until the last week...maybe Real will win by 1/2 points, I bet.

No one mentioned that Villarreal got Leandro Somoza.:( I think he will be a great addition to their midfield.(Y)

I also believe Atlético and Zaragoza should do better this year, i wonder if D'Alessandro and Aimar will get to play together.:o

You just proved that you don't know the first thing about Osasuna or Aguirre. :|

haha (6) True, Osasuna was very physical and dirty at times. But thats how most smaller teams are doing it now, if you dont have enough skill to match up to the other teams just try to kick them in the ground.

YELLOW CARD: Untrustworthy
Real madrid to win it a month before the season comes to a close, and resting players to come in strong in the champions league final against..... :fluffy: :p :shades: :$

Sevilla will finish 20th and Atletico will win the league...basically what i'm saying is Sevilla is being under-rated like every year and well, Atletico just the opposite. But I prefer it that way, makes it much better once the league is reaching its final games.

they signed some good players....but yea it's too much optimism
Villareal has signed better and reached CL semifinals last year, but still not among the favourites :chew:

I hope Barca will triple it this year, they aren't changing drasticly, basically keeping the winning formula. Real don't stand a chance in CL if things go as I think. Anyways it's gonna be an entertaining year as ever.

I think this season is ours, but Madrid could win the cup.

The real battle starts next season, when Capello has a season behind him and the squad is exactly what he wants. I'm under the impression that Capello is making the best out of the situation he is in, because I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind replacing players like Ronaldo and Beckham. The elections made it no easier for Madrid this summer.

They will be a strong candidate for the CL next season. Capello is great, but not a miracle worker. He can't turn them around in two months.

Thats why Real Madrid bought Gravesen , to try to match up the dirty game.

A team like At.M. needs a lot of work on to justify such predictions, not just two people

And I wouldn't say Pernia is great
