Same for me... Their accent makes it hard to understand...
Anyway I guess people living in UK get used to this accent. I still prefer to watch english films which are subtitled so that I understand better :(

Harry Redknapp did sign a lot of foreign players who didn't speak English when he was at West Ham, and most of them flopped, and Redknapp has since admitted that it was not very clever of him to have done that.

At Portsmouth the players he brought in were mainly English speakers, so for him to make a statement that some of his players speak no English at all, which of course will hamper him from giving instructions, is fair enough.

If I were the manager in the Premiership, I would not sign a player who cannot speak the language, as it would just complicate things and encourage home-sickness.
