I finally got to see two comedies from the 80's that were highly rated: This Is Spinal Tap and Animal House.

Ive seen my share of bad comedies, but Spinal Tap is up there. I watched the first 15 minutes and didnt laugh, or even smile once. Obviously this movie has a huge fan base, but I couldnt watch more than 15 minutes before turning it off. I also thought 'A Mighty Wind' was terrible and unfunny as well. 'Best In Show' was actually funny though.

I thought Animal House was gonna be really aged, but it was actually a pretty funny movie. Theres a lot of similarities between this and Old School (but of course Old School owns it). Maybe it wasnt non-stop laughs, but it was still a lot better than I thought itd be. Im starting university next year, Im gonna check out the fraternities(Y).

Frats and Fratboys are actually really gay and you don't need to be in a Fraternity to drink heavily at college.

Just saw Dumb and Dumber on TBS for like the thousandth time. Greatest movie EVER!!

I just watched The Third Man - a vintage thriller starring Joseph Cotton and Orson Welles. To be honest, I was a little disappointed, I saw it before a while back and remembered it being far better. A great film, but not in the Citizen Kane/Casablanca/Maltese Falcon class which I thought it would be. Cant help feeling it would have been much improved if Holly Martins had been played by Humphrey Bogart than Joseph Cotton, who wasnt that good, but he probably wouldnt have been able to act naive enough. Anyway, a very good film, but I wouldnt class it a classic.

I saw Elektra the sort-of-sequel to Dare Devil...

My review: It was stupid, boring and pointless.

Had it been just two out of the aforementioned three, it might have been bearable ... but since it wasn't, add agonizing to the list.

Just saw Hotel Ruanda.

Amazing movie. I think it's the only movie about the ethnic conflict and massacre in Ruanda in 1994.
