Landis is probably the worst speaker in front of a camera of anyone I have ever seen. He just sounds like a pussy. Nothing like Armstrong

No, there was an "unusual" result found from a sample taken in Tour, and Landis acted a little weird yesterday, complaining about his hip and dashing off to his team doctor in Germany when he was supposed to participate in a criterium in the Netherlands for an estimated fee of €50,000. These events don't have to be linked.

Is anyone surprised? Landis recovery was almost miraculous, one day dead, next day..

They're killing the sport. It's disgusting.

Positive or not, a sudden increase in testosterone doesn't help you within a day. It takes weeks for it to have any noteworthy effect. Also, it still could have been some natural occurance; in the Netherlands this happens to about 1 in 400,000 people every year - according to an expert in a current affairs programme I'm currently watching.

Yeah, but more likely I think this would be an indication of HGH (human growth hormone) which is definitely a banned substance.

No doubt it's most likely due to use of steroids. Some Belgian dude just said on the Belgian news that testosterone is very useful for faster recuperation when administered daily in small doses - to avoid detection - and that this could simply have been an injection of a(n accidental) higher dosage.

Leave it to Belgians to make bold statements, but it sounds more likely than a freak natural occurance.

This is very disappointing. I thought that this year we would have a tour completely without doping after what happened the days before it started. But I guess I was too naive. I hope he (and the other cyclists that were taken before the tour) gets the punishment he (they) deserves; get banned from top/professional competitions for the rest of his (their) life (if they are guilty). And not just a two-year ban, that’s way too little. But I guess that’s what they get, they always do. :nape:

A two year ban, and they can't be signed to a Pro Tour team for 2 more years after that. For top cyclists it's end of career, really, as their continental team wouldn't get nearly as much wildcards as Valverde's team does just because of their strong frontman. UCI will not just forget, after their ban ends, even if they served their punishment.

I read Landis could have had a band-aid consisting of testosterone on his testicle. article in German :|

It's a complete farce. They should either legalize doping (not gonna happen) or reduce the difficulty of such a three week race. It seems like you can't win it legally, the question is just who gets caught and who doesn't.

I didn't see a single stage of the Tour de France this year and I'm happy I didn't waste my time.

I don't think it's too hard, at least not compared to the tours that have been earlier. The difficult level is good in my opinion, and the Vuelta and Giro is just as hard as the Tour de France (yes, I'm aware that riders are doped there aswell).

And legalize doping? Never! Doping ruins the athlete after his/her carieer. And who wants to watch a competition where the athlete that has the best doctors with the strongest dope to win. :S

This is so awful for the guys that got suspended before the tour without even evidence that they used something. They had to watch while a drugged up Landis won the tour.

Oh and I knew there was something wrong longue before the officials did. :D

Anyway what a powerhouse, Landis, you'd almost start doubting wheter he did that all by himself(wink, wink, nudge, nudge needn't say more).
