Nazzy, You mind if I post your team on the front page? Also, would you mind if I reattribute it when I do the updates so that it does fit in with the attributes used for the other teams.

Please feel free to post and also to go ahead and reattribute at your leisure.

Regarding your request to help reattributing, I'm not sure how much I can help since as I mentioned I do use significantly different attributes than yours.

However, if you need some updated rosters, ive updated some of the ones you originally added with only 16 players. Currently working on Asian Cup team and have Australia, South Korea, Iran, Iraq, and China so far. Haven't accounted for injuries of course (ie S Korea has Ji-Sung Park, etc on the squad, even though they have about 4-5 injuries at the current time). You'd probably have to go in and tweak attributes to your system, however.

I had started with russia trying to reattribute and reroster the entire squad... It took me four days.

I think I need to work on reattribute only first... get every team on the same page and tackle the rest of the project at a slower pace.

The biggest thing I need help with in terms of rerostering the teams is information. retirements, new call ups... caps, goals, clubs, formations for the team... all of it helps. while using your files specifically would probably amount to a bit more work in the end, the information you are coming up with would be a signifcantly valuable resource.

------------------------

Gonna start adding the EA created teams on here... each has been edited and was previously available in the 1st national team pack. I'm reattributing them, sometimes rerostering (when I have time) but mainly rereleasing them so that we can provide direct updates for every team not just the ones I added in seperately.

Italy - Home kit by Klash69, Away by Tlmily. flags, banners, and logos were not updated. could not find any updates already available for flags and Banners, and the logos are fine the way they are.

Well, to be honest I mostly have just been using Wikipedia for the squads. For the teams that aren't the really tiny ones, I sometimes will try to look on other websites to get a better handle on the squads (ie for the Asian Cup, if wikipedia doesn't have the squad that was named, I might see if I can find an article discussing where the manager named the squad, since that often includes the squad itself). I know Wikipedia isn't always reliable, but its one of the most convenient resources I could find. I've tried to have a minimum 23 players per squad, but this isn't always possible with some of the smaller teams.

Anyway, not sure how much it's worth to ya, Liio, but feel free to tweak my rerostered teams and re-upload all you want.

Australia
Kits by Xisco, Flags by Walrus. Minikits and Logos are the game defaults.

Kewell is supposed to play a central forward role in the Asian Cup (positioned behind Viduka), so i've changed the Aussie formation to a 4-4-1-1.

China PR
Kits by Tlmily, Minis by Walrus, Flags are a hybrid of defaults and a flag made by Makispla. Logos are default

This is an example of a squad that I did not match to the Asian Cup squad precisely. Li Jinyu was not called for the Asian Cup because of his form, yet he led the Chinese league in scoring this past season, so I included him.

Iraq
Kits and Flags by Makispla, Minis Generic, Logos added by Liio

The roster is a hybrid of players from the sqaud used at the West Asian games, the squad named for the Asian Cup, and recent callups. Some players overlap, but when in doubt I generally went with players who appeared to have more caps and experience.

Let me know if this is useful at all or not, Liio. If it is, I will upload more later. If not, no biggie. I'm going to go work on Japan now...

Well I do have to reattribute them using my system either way... so downloading them is really just resetting work i've already done.

I'm worried about it getting a little confusing with us both posting the same teams in here... but I do want people editing what I'de done certainly... had you considered maybe making an asian national teams patch with your own attributes?

Yea, I can see how it would be duplicating a lot of work for you. I may consider releasing an Asian Patch at some point, but it certainly won't be any time soon. So far I have only 6 Asian teams done, and that leaves 40

I've pretty much finished with CONCACAF and OFC, but I doubt that there are significant differences from yours. Also I'll probably be updating CONMEBOL for Copa America shortly.

Thanks for the Iraqi roster mate.

Jsathe... it might be a huge help if we did come up with an alternative ratings system to mine. I think a lot of people are looking for one that leaves existing player stats in tact and tries to fit the rest in around it. I think the two negatives will be the difference in strength between the teams near the bottom... Meaning I think anyone that could be considered under a rank of 100 will probably be able to beat anyone in that range. (Like a 206 beating a 103). And I think many of the weaker teams will end up with average ratings of 1's... I don't know if you were interested in doing something like that as you go along... but keep me informed.

And I think many of the weaker teams will end up with average ratings of 1's... I don't know if you were interested in doing something like that as you go along... but keep me informed.

The way i've set up the ratings hasn't been on a worldwide basis, but on a regional basis. For example, I might look *just* at CONCACAF Elo Ratings, and say teams ranked (in the world) 1-10 should have an overall team rating of 4, 10-40 should be 3, and so on. However, I do have some teams which have a "1/2 star", which separates them from a 1. For example, Suriname is a 1 star team for me, ranked #150 in Elo. But Puerto Rico (#198) is a "half star team". It is true that Puerto Rico *might* have a shot at beating Suriname, but from the games i've played between a 1 star and a 1/2 star (depending on how low the 1/2 star team is), the 1 star team is still capable of winning 4-0 or 5-0. The 1/2 star team is lucky to score 1 or 2 goals at most, even when I play the whole game with them. Also, I tried seeing what happened when Uruguay played both teams (Uruguay was at less than a full strength squad). They beat Suriname 5-1 and Puerto Rico 10-0. So i think it is still possible to maintain variation between "minnows" and "super minnows" I also try to "adjust" the 1/2 star teams from each other based on how lousy he are. Puerto Rico has players in the teens and 20s for ratings, but Antigua (176) has a lot more in the 30s and a couple in the 40s.

However, once I started working on Asia, I started anew with a different system. For Asia, a 3 star is 10-50, 2 star goes from 50-100, etc. So I completely ignore the system used above for Concacaf. It doesn't necessarily matter to me as much if ratings are somewhat skewed across confederations, as long as they are consistent within confederations.

I think the biggest difference between your ratings and mine are the top-end teams. Holland, Spain, England, etc would be reliant primarily on the in-game ratings of the players, and I would not significantly increase their player ratings so that they'd end up in the high 90s.

I've used this system for Concacaf, Conmebol, and Ofc so far, and working on Afc now. Always happy to provide any uploads, but not exactly sure what you had in mind (ie posting the same team twice, each with the different ratings system?).

The other issue with my teams is that some of them do use kits which we do not have permission for distributing in a patch (PK Bomb, Mogolos, for example). So they might need to be changed to reflect other kits. Let me know how (or if) you'd like to proceed.

I was wondering what happened to Lester More at the gold cup... there's the answer. It's a shame cause I'm sure he would have had a great international career for the country. I wish we had more details.
QUOTE]

I think he left because cuba is dirt poor, and he probably will be rich in comparison even if he only plays in MLS. Quite common for cuba athletes to leave. They have no freedom, I don't see it as any shame. He just won't be playing international anymore, but he could try to get a contract for a club team, and continue his good career.

So I completely redid Russia's Roster... This is something I will continue to do with the EA created teams and teams that I marked "National Teams" specifically in CM07.

Here's what you should do...

Take your existing RUSSIA team. Go to standard name and change the name to Russia^ with the carrot top.

Move this team to the international league.

If you do not have a seperate league set aside for the European Teams, make one... load this Russian team and MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS SET TO CREATE... YOU DO NOT WANT IT TO REPLACE ANYTHING. Especially the Russian Team itself. Then import this new russian team and move it into your UEFA league.

Those steps in summary:

1. Rename your existing Russia team "Russia^"
2. Move that team to the International League
3. If you don't have a UEFA league, Make one.
4. Load the new Russian Team
5. Make sure everything is set to CREATE
6. Import the new Russian Team
7. Add them to the UEFA League

--------------------------------

I added Russian logos and Flags by me, and a UEFA flag by Makispla. The kits and minikits are those previously released they are Sundsvall's

The roster was revamped from scratch. I did extensive research on each player (to the best of my abilities keeping in mind the constraints of time). Some players were added that have very few caps in reality and other veterans were dropped.

Perhaps the most important change is this team has an ID seperate from the origional russia, and is NOT marked as a national team. As well, the players on this team were cloned from the origionals so they are on ONLY 1 team. This will allow us to, when the time comes, add them to a league ready for use in Manager Mode.

It is important that you follow the steps above... It's also not a bad idea to backup your origional Russia team by creating a simple CM patch.

Hi Liio,

Just letting you know I get an error message when I try to import Saudi Arabia. I can download fine, but there is something like an "unexcepted handling error" when I attempt to import. Any chance of re-uploading a working individual version of Saudi Arabia? I have been adding teams one-by-one using their separate cmp files, not using the kitpacks all at once, because that's how Iprefer to add them. I haven't had this problem with any other of your created teams teams, and in total i've probably downloaded about 60 so far. Any suggestions? Thanks.

That error occurs when something went wrong when CM07 tried to create the patch. Also if players don't have a first name or at least a "space bar character" for their first name the error or one similar to it will occur. This means I need to remake the cmp file which is what I did for:

Saudi Arabia

The origional Saudi Arabia was very poorly made... everyone was born on the default birthday in 1980... there were no flags and the banner wasn't carried over... I had added flags by both Makispla and I (I made some cause I forgot Makispla did, and I didn't want it to go to waste so 3 of them are mine, 3 are his). I also bumped the roster from 16 players to 23. This was done quickly and more research is needed for a more accurate roster but hopefully all of this helps.

Hi mrliioadin.
Thanks for all this fantastic packs.

I have a question. Is there any problem if in CM I "create" all the players from your packs instead of replacing the existing ones or this will make conflict with the teams?

Thanks

Bruno, I bet it's for our CEP update ;) I have asked permission to MrLiioadin.
you can but you need to replace the existing ones and MAINLY import the country to replace with the teams, this way CM assign all the players to the country id ;)

PS: This weeks is the great week :D

Yeah I'm sure you could create instead of replace... I don't think you'll have any problems but you should back up your files before hand anyway. If it gives you any trouble just let me know and we'll figure it out.

hey mr liioaden coul u make a patch with under 21 with the netherlands team and all the other national team???? thnkkss in advanced! i like ur other teamss!!;) keep the good work

mrliioadin

I origionally wanted to make a massive youth team patch for U23, U21, and U17... I think I'm gonna have to step away from that particular idea at least for a little while. It is liberating to finally get a chance to actually play with the teams I made and while I am still watching tournaments on TV that I wish I were creating and editing and upgrading, I think for now my goal needs to be to patch up the holes in the national teams I already released and then begin other projects.

I think my hands are just a bit full at the moment.

On that note, What I've been doing is: I set up a massive set of tournaments that I play through one at a time (some overlap, some divided) and I basically work my way through a 4 year cycle of selected tournaments.

Right now I am in October of what I call "year '00" it would essentially be the october following a world cup starting in August of '00 and ending in July of '04 then picking up the next rotation and calling it '05-'08.

Anyway the goal is to play through the tournaments and try to spot mistakes, errors, missing textures, inappropriately strong teams/players.... unrealistically weak teams and players. I get to enjoy the game and I edit as I go. What I'm going to start doing probably tomorrow, is releasing a short update patch that corresponds to whichever tournament I just completed... For instance I just completed the Paxta Piyola tournament that I made up for the South and Central Asian teams... I will continue updates tomorrow then release that patch as an update to those 12 teams. it won't be a release of these tournaments specifically, but it will be a good base for you to use if you want to play these tournaments.

Anyway I'm very tired and I hope everything I just typed was coherent and had a point. I'll start getting you guys updates soon... I was just trying to decide what the best way to do it was.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On that note here is the:

Paxta Piyola Tournament

It is a fictional federational championship that would in theory be the federational championship of the South and Central Asian Football Federation (yet to be created but highly likely in the future).

If you are using the layout that I use, these teams would be competing for 1 spot in the AFC Asia Cup.

I played this tournament through and through, one half with one team, one half with the other... I played all 15 games and am attempting to identify the teams that are unrealistically strong or weak.

Here were my Results: Team - Pts

Group A:

Uzbekistan 6
Afghanistan 1
Pakistan 1

Uzbekistan 3-2 Afghanistan
Pakistan 0-7 Uzbekistan
Afghanistan 2-2 Pakistan

Group B:

Turkmenistan 6
Kyrgyzstan 1
Sri Lanka 1

Kyrgyzstan 2-2 Sri Lanka
Turkmenistan 3-0 Kyrgyzstan
Turkmenistan 6-1 Sri Lanka

Group C:

India 6
Tajikistan 1
Nepal 1

Tajikistan 0-3 India
India 1-0 Nepal
Nepal 2-2 Tajikistan

Group D:

Maldives 4
Bangladesh 2
Bhutan 1

Bhutan 3-3 Bangladesh
Maldives 4-1 Bhutan
Bangladesh 2-2 Maldives

KNOCKOUT PHASE:

Uzbekistan 6-0 Turkmenistan
India 0-1 Maldives

Uzbekistan 2-1 Maldives

UZBEKISTAN ARE THE CHAMPIONS

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you can see Turkmenistan and Afghanistan probably performed a bit better than they should have. Uzbekistan still made short work of Turkmenistan in the semi's but that's mainly because I used two defensive center mids to man mark their two star strikers and took out my higher rated Attacking Center Mid. I lowered many players ratings on Turkmenistan and modified Afghanistan as well

Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan sort of underperformed thus I boosted their ratings here and there and played with their formations and tactics to try to help them in the future.

The patch I'm releasing now has the edited values in place. Your results should be more believable, Though all in all I was happy with the tournament.

If you're curious I named it the Paxta Piyola rather than the South and Central Asian Football Federation Championship just to shorten it up a bit.

I decided Uzbekistan would be the host for the event and looked up what their primary exports are... Apparently they export a lot of Cotton, so I looked up the words Cotton and Cup in Uzbek and got Paxta Piyola. Piyola by the way may actually mean something like cupboard or cabinet.... I won't say anything if you wont. But essentially the tournament is just called the Cotton Cup. I'm not great at naming things creatively... But I took a shot at this one.

Be patient with the patch as it loads in... it may take a little while.

Liio,

I've been unable to download any of your team files or patches (including the tournament you just attached) from filefront for the past day and a half. I get a message saying either that there is an error or that no servers are available. Any idea why this is? I've tried dowloading the mega-patch, as well as teams from AFC, CAF, and CONCACAF. None of them worked. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Turkmenistan isn't that bad. They did very well in the 06 qualifiers... So I think your team performed quite realistic. I don't know the result of their match against qatar though...

Your Afghanistan did too well. 2-3 vs the Uzbeks? No way!
