Thing is, of course it looked much better a couple of weeks ago, but if I was offered this table at the start of the season, I'd take it. No one thought we'd be challenging for the top spot, especially with our star transfer turning out to be a flop. Again, of course I'd rather be in the lead, but things aren't that bad now. And there's always next year :(

Remember this score: 1-1 against Wigan. I think it will prove to be the knock out punch.

This is a crucial point in the season for us. Last season, it was around this time that Torres begun to score a lot of his goals. He needs to step up again. And we simply have to win games that we should win......this remains the major problem with our results....we don't win games that we should. If we aren't careful, a fall to 4th will be the result because Villa are red hot right now.

Hahahahahahahhaha!!!!! Good one!:innocent_smile_1::innocent_smile_1:

I have a feeling that the team could be broken up at the end of this season if we don't win/come close to winning.

I'm highly concerned by Rafa's antics of late and his treatment of Robbie Keane. Of course he hasnt been playing on the level everyone expected him to play, but you can see the effort is there. He's always running after the ball, closing down on opponents and he is a Liverpool supporter. He's shown glimpses of his talent this season and come on, dropping him from the bench for Ngog? Seriously, Ngog? This guy never shown anything when coming up from the bench except for poor ball control and innefectiveness.

Also, when Keane seemed to be finding his form, Rafa decided to "rest" him for a couple of games? He struggled to find his best football for a good part of the early season and when he finally does, the manager decides to bench him once again, to play Torres against Stoke, clearly unfit. Not that the Spaniard appears fitter right now, he's clearly lacking match practice. Keane clearly has what it takes to play for Liverpool, he's a proven EPL player over the years and he's talented enough, but i feel our manager is undermining him.

You dont ask a player to warm-up for like 20 minutes or so and then tell him to come back to the bench during a match. Does he really needs nearly half 45 minutes to decide on a substitution? For a world-class manager it's taking far too long, dont you think? He's not better than Torres, not at all, i'm not even saying he should start, but we've got to give him his chance to shine at Anfield, and he was given too much little time to prove his worth. We're quite far from May and from the looks of it, it seems Keane has been deemed not good enough to play for Liverpool and that's a freaking mistake.

My other issues with Rafa are related to his antics of late. Of course, he said some stuff about Ferguson that i agreed, and i still do, practically everyone agrees apart from Man Utd fans. But it backfired and he still kept at it for a while. That, and also ranting about every god damn team and it's respective tactics that Liverpool fails to beat week in week out. It's been 7 draws out of 10 matches. And from what i can see he's going all critical at every team, Everton, Wigan, Stoke, every team. "Oh it's hard to play football against 10 men behind the ball"; "When smaller teams come to Anfield it's always going to be narrow"; "I'm not going to comment on Wigan's tactics, it was crazy".

Oh come the ******* on. What do you expect teams to do, go all out attack playing 4-4-2 with great width on a short passing style with quick tempo closing us down all pitch? (FM vocabulary, i know). Give me a break. If he spent all the time he's wasting talking the trash he's been talking trying to figure out ways to make us look a little better than one-dimensional (that's what we've been looking for like, 3-4 seasons now?) and Gerrard dependant, it would do us a big favor.

Before everyone comes and calls me ungrateful and a traitor, please, i give Rafa all the credit he deserves for the titles he brought us - the CL, to be more specific - and i think he's a class act. One of the best managers in the world, a master tactician, and everything else. But i seriously hope someone at Liverpool approaches him, gives him a slap in the face and tells him "get your act straght son!", because he needs that. At the moment, he just looks dellusional. We still dont have a team as good as Man Utd's, but the truth is we should be performing a lot better.

What a massive win that was, over Chelsea. I can't believe we are looking over our shoulder at.........Aston Villa!!!

Good to see Torres get a couple....

2-0 vs Chelsea, but really, we only played after they had Lampard sent off, and if I'm totally honest, I don't think it was a good decision by Riley. I do understand why he sent him off, and he's only have a split second to decide, but really, it wasn't a red card offense.

Still, glad about the result. Unfair, maybe. Like it was last season when they got a penalty for fouling one of our players. In the end, it all evens out.

I still don't think we'll win the league this season, but it'd be good to fight for it. Man U have the consistence we lack, and they're one step ahead. It's theirs to lose.

Let's just wait and see.

Great, we buy Keane for 19.5 million and sell him for 15 million, losing 4.5 millions in the process and a good replacement for Torres in case he gets injured or suspended (or a starter if Benitez ever decided to play two forwards).

Our number nine better stay fit for the remainder of the season...

hahah this is hilarious. He never even got a proper chance. Just when he started banging them in Benitez thought it'd be a good idea to bench his ass. Nicely done by Spurs.

Riera is spanish, rafa's nation so he is different. I think issues between Benitez and american management sacrificed Keane. Benitez wanted to prove he is in charge for transfers and if they buy somebody without his 100% interset, he won't use that player.

I think Keane was a hard worker and loyal player, I think it was the biggest mistake of rafa era.
