^^^ VERY GOOD POINT!!! Well said!

In other news, Sami Hyppia is heading to Bayer Leverkusen for 2 seasons, after which he has said that he would like to have some sort of coaching position at Liverpool.

Well, Arsenal got thumped by Chelsea. We have to win out to guarantee 2nd place. I can't see Chelsea losing their remaining 2 games (home against Blackburn and Sunderland away). We travel to a high scoring West Brom and then a tricky home game against Spurs to finish the season....hopefully Xabi Alonso is back next week.

Nice to see Liverpool finally giving us a run for our money.

We are better than your 80s side, for sure.

Funny how a certain somebody once accused Barca fans of ignorance/arrogance.

It just came from a certain sense of over-happiness..

I have seen and read about them as much I could about Liverpool 80s team. What i said was a personal opinion, so if you don't like me, don't reply back, right?

At least, i did not post funny pics of Liverpool players and Man utd celebrating their title here.

Its obvious that I hate Liverpool but I have respect for them , as well. And I revealed that in my Blog, as well.

Well Liverpool had a great season and definitely one of the best since 1990. Thumbs up to you guys. You fought till the end but unfortunately, United didn't seem to lose points. And I think its a good season for Liverpool overall considering you guys finished 4th last season but its always frustrating to end up with nothing after fighting so hard. Wish you luck in the future but don't think we'll make it easy for you :D

In a way, it's a good thing that the EPL champs isn't the side that kept getting draws at home against Stoke and Hull, it shows you need consistency to win it all, and we just couldn't compete with Man U in that sense.

Overall it was a good season. Last season we ended up 11 points behind them, the season before that we were 21 points adrift. We just need to keep going, and for everything that's most sacred, stop dropping easy home points. All that said, I don't expect next season will be any easier.

True, I can't see us having as good a chance next year as we did this season. Contrary to popular belief, I don't think you can go head to head with United over the course of the entire season and come out on top. You've got to really stick it to them when they're down and hope that other clubs do the same. Their "down" time each season doesn't last long....it's during this time that you've gotta take full advantage. Fulham helped us out, but clubs like Villa, City and Spurs just couldn't come through.

Not every club manages to produce Arsenal's form from 2003-2004 and consistently get the results that put pressure on United. That just doesn't happen and we're a perfect example of it. We started strong and finished strong......that just wasn't good enough because we had a dip around mid-season and that was all United needed.

You've got to knock them out when they're down and hope that other clubs follow suit. Essentially, you need them to lose as much as you need to win. Unless, of course, you can buy the world, like Chelsea, in which case you don't need help from other clubs. I have a lot of respect for Chelsea but, quite frankly, they're past 2 seasons are a perfect illustration of how they won the EPL. When they decided to cut back spending, they simply couldn't get the job done. Everyone talks about Lampard and Terry...without Drogba, Cech, Carvalho, Makelele, Joe Cole, etc. Lamps and Terry weren't good enough to lead Chelsea to the title. Let's call a spade a spade.....they bought those 2 Premier League titles that they won. Sure, we've spent a lot of, and wasted a lot of, cash on players....Bellamy, Crouch, Keane, etc. since 2006....but it pales in comparison to what Chelsea did in the early Abramovich years. No wonder Arsenal is struggling to be competitive. Money will not ruin the game.....it has already ruined it.

Guys, It was a pleasure to watch and follow this season because of great power and danger from liverpool side. you played some fantastic games and you actually "never said never". I really appreicate that, I hope you keep your key players and bring some good players as well because united became more powerfull whenever its rivals became more powerfull as well.

by the way, you should start winning matches against teams like stoke, hull and boro because against top 4 you were the best team.

top 4 table
Liverpool 12
Arsenal 9
United 5
Chelsea 4

Here we go again, bitterness in every aspect of this post. You make it sound as its easy just to go out and buy players and win the title. But why couldn't Ranieri achieve that in his first season? I don't think I need to reiterate again that changing managers also mean changing personnel. Mourinho bought in the players he trusted(Carvalho, Ferreira, and Tiago), like what Harry's done at Spurs. Ranieri bought a whole lot when he was given money, Mourinho did the same but more effectively.

And you're clearly hiding the fact that Rafa's wasted a lot of money on players by saying that "Chelsea wasted a lot more".
Well, I thought Robbie Keane's purchase was the biggest joke this season, too bad you guys were on the receiving end of it, huh?

And stop defending Le Arse for their inability to buy experienced players and not able to keep players who have come through.(Hleb and Flamini for example)
Arsenal are capable of spending on experienced players but Wenger chose not to, and blaming other clubs for doing otherwise and spend is just plain daft.

Saying that we bought our status as one of the big four is discrediting the fact that we were well on our way to establish ourselves as a top team, you are dismissing the efforts of our players prior to the Abramovich era, the likes of Petrescu, Flo, Hasselbaink, Gronkjaer, Zola, Wise, Vialli, Hughes, Guddy, Lamps, Cudicini, Melchiot and so on.

"Money will not ruin the game.....it has already ruined it."
Are u trying to start part 2 m8? We've already had one about City early on. If your theory is correct, City will win the league next season. And that would do me just fine, more clubs capable of winning the league, more competition, more moaners and whiners from the "long established" top teams.
