It was never a reason I support Liverpool, and it won't make me less of a fan because we aren't holders of that anymore.
Thing is, Chelsea is miles ahead of us, and it showed today.
The real scary thing is that this season none of the top teams were anywhere near as good as they were last season, this season has been a catalogue of teams fumbling leads in the title race. Either that means the clubs snapping at the top four's heels have got better, or the top four themselves are weaker.
I think it's a combination of both. Liverpool's best eleven is much weaker without Xabi Alonso and Arbeloa. Also without Torres and Gerrard, the team doesn't seem to function. We've had the same situation with Rooney. Chelsea too, have been weaker this season and Arsenal were ravaged by injury.
I don't think Liverpool deliberately layed down today - I don't think a club with the tradition and ethos of Liverpool would stoop that low - if they did then Shankly would be spinning in his grave.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not going soft on you - being a United fan that would go against the grain
