once Inter's new Indonesian owner signs his countryman Radja Nainggolan, he'll be taking Inter legend Luisito Suárez's advice to splash out on a marquee striker ... wonder what name old man Luisito will leave Erick Thohir with ...

Luis Suárez + Simeone the ultimate bundle

So, Liverpool 4-1 West Ham.

A big win as Chelsea and ManU lost, ManC drew.

The question, folks, is can we actually build on this in a tough environment? A visit to Spurs will be very tricky and I am getting more and more concerned that very few players are scoring goals for us. Suarez is getting most of them.

Liverpool's next opponent is Tottenham Hotspurs from North London. Tottenham will be fighting with Liverpool at the end of the season for 4th place. This game is IMPORTANT for both teams!

Tottenham hammered FC Anzhi (from Russia) in the Europa league today.

I kept thinking of a whim.

Anyways, I see Napoli is out of the Champions League. Let's all be relieved that Rafael Benitez realizes that he should never have left Liverpool FC for 20 years. He promised to say for that long after the 2005 CL final. Idiot.

Liverpool leading 2-0 at halftime. At Tottenham

Very surprising to me. Both Gerrard and Sturridge are NOT playing in this game. Honestly, after watching the first half, I think that we should be ahead by more than 2 goals. Luis Suarez could have had a 1st half hat-trick.

Sometimes, I think that Liverpool are a better team when Steven "The Old Man" Gerrard is not playing. Liverpool do not have to depend on Gerrard's Hollywood passes, all the time. This game is a perfect example of that.

In the first half, Spurs had no answer for our play on the right wing. They could not stop us. Jordan Henderson has had an amazing first half. Liverpool have scored 25 Premier League goals before half-time this season, at least four more than any other side.

The second half will be crucial now since Spurs are going to respond at home. The crowd was booing them as the first half whistle sounded.

Second half has started and ANOTHER ****ing post!

Suarez hit the post in the first half. Now Sakho hits the crossbar and, of course, Martin Skrtel hits the rebound wide of the goal.

We should be leading 5-0! I am sick of this.

EDIT: crossbar, not post.

Okay so 5-0 for Liverpool. We could have had a 6th at the very end of the game.

Honestly, it was a great game. Spurs were down to 10 men, in the 2nd half which is why we got 3 late goals. We missed atleast 3 goals in this game though. It was a real chance to increase our goal differential. Bottom line: we missed some goals. I won't complain too much because we managed to score 5 times.

Now, let's think about why this season has seen us get off to a good start. I think that it is because the players are rested. We have no European competition, no League Cup and, so far, no FA Cup concerns. Our players have looked quite fresh. This means that we are going to struggle to compete in multiple competitions.i.e. we do not have enough depth in our squad to compete in multiple competitions at the same time. That is a real worry for us.

Also, our consistency against top teams is another factor. We have been very inconsistent against the top teams. That is something that has to change.

The Tottenham game was a good start. But our Christmas schedule, coming up, is very difficult.

Duid not watch, but the match report showed that that Pool scored 3 times after AVB used up his subs bringing off defensive players and putting on a bunch of attackers, what what their formation even like?

Shambles, they were horrible before Sandro got taken off for holtby (injury) and even worse after. AVB really needs to rethink having a high line or quit and go race cars already

That first half performance from Liverpool yesterday was the best football I've seen us play in a long, long while. Henderson absolutely killed it along with the likes of Suarez, Flanagan, Sterling, Coutinho and Lucas. Also the last thing I'd expected going into the game was our midfield trident to outclass theirs. Unreal stuff.

I hope we are getting ready for our next game because that opponent is Cardiff. After that, we have two games against top 4 contenders.

We really have to prove our consistency now.
