Thought I'd stop by and say today the lads played well. Fully deserved their 2-0 win, let's hope this kind of performance stays!

Plus Man Utd got owned, badly

Great win by Pool. Teams getting into shape again although strikers still arent doing as well as they should. Owell time will tell. I hope this is where our "winning streak" starts. After a couple important games next the road seems to look good, if we can get a win at anderlect we should make the knockout stages. ASton Villa looks a fringe threat with the ultimate Baros who i still think we shoulcnt of let go, although we got 4 classy-outa-form strikers right now. TFrom then on til the CL chelsea match we have a less bumpy road exculding betis though. Hopefully we will get the most out of these next few weeks. And January soon, hopefully itll be Simao as our winger and a pacy strong CB which i cant think of anyone atm.

Next match verse anderlect, if we win and chelsea beat betis, we are automatically through. Morientes looks to make his Champions league debut and kewell set to return to the starting lineup. Anderlect have only won 0, yes 0 times away in england only drawing once against totenham. Chelsea should be able to do the job as they would like to automatically go through aswell. hings are looking good for us if we win. Hopefully our potential has arised and we will give anderlect an absolute flogging. Well 3-0 seems fair enough ahhaha.
What do you guys think about next round and who would be an awsome knockout rounds opponent?

Awesome would be someone like Ajax whom, with all due respect, I think we should be able to beat. Realistically though, I can see a team like Bayern or Real Madrid hammering us. Going on this season' s form, (and the one table topper we have played i.e. Chelsea) I think that the outlook is grim.

Aye it was a good performance, Cisse looked awesome as ever and Morientes looked to be re-gaining some of his previous form. Hes a bit like Bird Flu really, prolific everywhere but England

Great game by the lads. Gerrard seems to be the perfect player to fill in the right flank and is really one of the only players that can put a proper cross from the wing to out strikers (aside finnan, zneden and riise and alonso mainly throught he middle) although we know his destined position is in the heart of our midfield. Thank god for Morientes to score. Great to see him finish with pure class and have another better then average game.
The game against aston villa will be tough although their form atm is pretty..... well you know. We cant take anything for granted.

Not the best perfomance but pleased with the win,3 wins,7 goals,3 clean sheets what a week and out first win away win after the Champions League. Cisse was poor toaday but it didn't help when Rafa moved him to the right after 25 minutes Crouch came on and caused a nuisance to the Villa defence and won the penalty which Gerrard scored from,Alonso wrapped the game after the ball broke to him at the edge of the box. Pleased with with and we are up to 9th with 2 games in hand Carragher was MOTM made some crucial tackles especially on Baros in the first half

Yeah, that tackle on Baros probably saved an early goal. Aside from Cisse missing a sitter (he will not have that much time against better opposition) the game was pretty good.

Cisse should of scored that one chance, it was easy and he had all the time in the world.
Left it late wasn't the name for it, late late late was more of a saying to describe it. Dissappointing really, we should of beat Villa more convincingly with their current form.
