This is the time in the league when results matter more than the type of match played. I hope it doesn' t carry over into the CL.

Sad to say I find Liverpool too boring to watch most of time :(. But I do follow the live scores on soccernet.
my connection is too crappy for video or audio coverage, we don't get premier league on TV, and IRC reminds me a lot of my golden CM 01/02 days... eurosport or bbc are usually way lagged, but I'll try soccernet, thanks!

Mhyre did have a great game but then again he has had a great season with Charlton. I just hope we sign someone like Kuyt during the preseason and he settles in quick!

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after all this and we couldnt even get back agfaint benfica at anfield!!! WHats happening with our finish, we may have hit the post a few times and domindated but thats no excuse for losing the game. Thats the end of the journey as holders for us and now we have to wait for next season. Two tough games in premiership to, Arsenal away and Fulham home. WE must get these otherwise this season will have been a slump unless we finsih at least 2nd or win teh fa cup... Cumon 'pool!

Sissoko isnt doing too bad according to the News of the world Hans, apparently his eyesight may never be 100% but he'll be back soon enough. He's aiming at the end of the season apparently (may time)

Oh and yes, we need a striker, i was impressed with Darren Bent the other day.

Man, I can't believe we didn't score atleast one time, in the first half we had 6 100% chances, but we did not manage to score.
It was almost embarassing when Crouch missed from 7 meters trying to put the ball between Morettos foots. Also, when Cissé entered the pitch, he did not manage to get the ball past the defender, everytime he tried the long pass into the 16-meter, he hit the defender, and it went out to either a throw-in or a corner. As for Morientes that haven't scored a goal for over 1000 minutes, I almost didn't recognise him during the match. Also it was to bad that Fowler did not manage to score his first goal for Liverpool after the transfer from Man City.

It's very sad that we have 4-5 very great attackers, but they don't seem to get the ball into the goal.... I know they have the potential to score several goals, I just don't see why they don't....:S To bad we now are knocked out of the CL, it would have been great if also this year Gerrard could raise the CL-trophy as a proof that Liverpool ARE the greatest football-team in the world:)

I read an article the other day that had Sissoko quoted as saying that hes promised himself that he'll be playing by the time May is finished.

Quite frankly, i miss Milan. Even with his inability to look UP, he was a beast in terms of determination.

Question for the Kopites.

During last summer the majority of you didn't feel it was worth Micky Owen returning for the sort of money we were offering. Do you still stand by that or do you regret your club not pulling the stops out to bring him back? Bare in mind you can't buy a goal right now and while missing most of this season through injury Owen has still scored more than any of your 'strickers'.

One last thing, who was the silly plonker who argued Cisse was the better player, was it you Ebonix? :funny:

I like Owen, he used to be my fav player after Robbie left... but I think the season so far has been decent enough, so I wouldn't have paid the same amount Newcastle did

I was among the apparent minority....true his price was inflated but Owen is in fact a proven goal-scorer. But I guess you cant't judge that either. Morientes was a proven CL goalscorer as well.....but now.....1000 minute.....:|:|

yeah that was me and liam who said cisse was the better option. ok, that was possibly wrong. im still glad we didnt fork all that out for owen though... how many games has he played??

i never liked him when he was here cause of how many open goals he'd balloon over the bar. he thought he was too good for liverpool so fúcked off and we won the champions league (H)

Bare in mind you're going to have to pay a similar price if you're looking to bring in a world class stricker in the summer.

Owen was truly an anfield great and would be welcomed with open arms any day. The problem was just the fee. If we used our funds for him, it wouldve limited our funds even more and we may have not brought the likes of crouch and sissoko since they cost a fair bit to. He is a natural goalscorer but the demands of real madrid were just too much
Also cisse is an awsome striker. At the beginning of the season although we bought in Crouch i thought the starting should be Cisse and Morientes. As said both proven goalscorers with great stats. Cisses problem at liverpool is he does nto get ebough time on field.
I dont really liek what i think is BEnitezs tactic of starting with Crouch and Mori then waiting to the dying minutes to send on fresh legs cisse, although a grand idea, cisse should be playing more. Thats why hes liverpools 2nd top scorer this season although playing plenty less then the other attackers. At Auxerre he's use to playing day in day out able to get the momentum going consistently. WE need to get him starting mroe matches playing more games because at teh moment i think him and crouch can get liverpool mopving. Morientes has lost it for teh moment but ti shouldnt be long until we get decent wingers to supply him with lovely crosses and all ( although he has had many major chances these pass few weeks which we usualy expect him to score).
The prospect of Michael GOnzalez... DAM! Hearing all this news about how deportivo and all that want his services. He must be something. I just hope wehen he makes his debut for liverpool he wont be a flop jsut because the english game is more physical as of other players...

let's hope he's bulking up.

Also i agree with you about Cisse, lets get him a long stint starting upfront, not on the right wing.
