That means what exactly? The top 4 of the Eredivisie will still easily beat any Russian team they encounter.
Now that's a little too far. Ajax and PSV are sure great teams, but top 4 taking on any russian team and easily beating them? That's WAY too far. CSKA won the Uefa Cup not AZ and they are not even the top 3 team in Russia.

i doubt PSV would EASILY beat Lokomotiv, CSKA or Spartak. and i do doubt Feyenoord, AZ and Ajax(in their current state) would EVER beat same Lokomotiv, CSKA or Spartak.

Lokomotiv signed a 1+4 contract with 22-years old Parma striker Francesco Ruopolo.

lmao are you f*cking stupid

easily beat my a*s

last year it was CSKA Uefa Cup and this year it is Loko CL whether you like it or not all you Barca, Juve, Real Madrid, Milan, Liverpool, Chelsea can kiss my white russian a*s

...and this time hopefully we won't get screwed by the refs like 2 years ago when we played Monaco in the 1/8 who actually ended up making it to the final... Loko was the better team in both legs... I remember in Moscow we could of scored even more goals cause we had so many chances we just had no luck so we ended up winning only 2-1 while it could of easily been 4-1, EASILY.

All matches between Spartak, CSKA, Loko and Torpedo are big derbys, can't really say which one is the "biggest"...

No need to get so angry about this guys :-p

The biggest derby right NOW I would say is Loko-CSKA, simply because those are the two teams competing for gold right now. However, Loko-Spartak is huge, it happened last saturday and had over 30K spectators.

From an honest perspective, I think that the Russian league is stronger. Without Park Ji Sung in PSV, the current loko team could at least pull a draw against PSV. So the leaders are matched up, and there are way more possible european competitors currently in Russia. We have CSKA, obviously, Spartak is gaining strength slowly (they do need a better defense and perhaps keeper, but their attacking side is amazing right now) - with Kavenagi from Argentina, Titov back in form, Pavlyuchenko getting better with every match, Spartak has a good chance of getting into the european zone in Russia and performing well there next year.

Dinamo is going stronger with all the portuguese players such as Derlei (currently top scorer alongside 3 other forwards), and obviously Maniche and Costinha from the Portuguese national.

Zenit is a bit unstable to perform in europe, however, they strength is undeniable and Arshavin (striker) has been in his best shape ever this season and is scoring some unbelievable goals.

At any rate, we've got competitive teams. Loko in the CL should do very well. Our offense suck, but the striker from Parma will help and hopefully Sychev will regain his form from last season. Loskov + Evseev, the two veterans are having one of their best seasons, and the loko defense consists of a huge choice of qualified players. I mean, seriously, having a national team player on the bench says something. With a choice of last year's line up - evseev, sennikov, gurenko, and pashinin, they now have bugaev, and two new defenders from africa which are supposedly very versatile.

The midfield is also strong with old-timers Loskov, Maminov, and Khoklov, although the last two are performing below-par recently. We have Izmailov (best goal of the first leg of 1/8 finals in the CL two years ago), and Bilyaletdeninov, who is showing amazing skills for a 20 year old.

So I mean, we'll see. This season should be fun. Loko I think will do very well in the CL. CSKA is probably not going to be able to defend the UEFA Cup, since they are suffering from playing too much and trying really hard to catch up to Loko in the league. Krylya Sovetov might not even be around for the UEFA Cup. They had to sell their best players and aren't really the team that existed last year.

this season the biggest derbies are Spartak-CSKA and Spartak-Lokomotiv. this season Spartak have a lot of nice players, and they want to prove that they are back, they want to prove in every match.
matches between CSKA and Loko are not so fundamental, because both clubs achieved a lot in last years and have nothing to prove.
