man you can only understand the humiliation when it happens to you, of course theres nothing on you but then for the rest of your journey you're surrounded by people who think you're some crazed terrorists, i can't really think of anything more degrading publicaly the state can do to you.
yeah.... I understand the humiliation as I also belong to a minority and sometimes get stared at coz of my skin color.... but if it makes the country feel safe and there's a better chance to catch those ####ing bastards I will do it...
and if I get fed up with getting stared at and searched every single day then I may have to think about going back to a country where my skin color doesn't determine if I might be a suspect or not

London obviously takes precedence since there have been casualties.

I don't know why it doesn't at least get a mention though...

you're not misinterpreting, I think that every muslin have to think why their religion allows this. And they can not be proud of it.

I also tell you, that every every citizem from US, UK, Spain, Italy, Australia... have to think about the ways of defending democracy that their countries have. We can't be proud of it either.

Anyway I've seen big demostrations with hundreds of thousands of people in all this countries against Iraq war. I don't know if there has been big demostrations in muslims countries (with exception of Morocco) against muslim extremist terrorims. I don't know about it.

Yeah, thanks Larry, managed to get through to them in the end (Y)...they were around Waterloo Station around the time of the explosions apparently and ended up walking all the way to Mile End to get out of the chaos.

The police should realize from this that this is a sign of the CONSTANT threat of terrorism. As my European History teacher put it,"Terrorism is a global issue in need of global cooperation. As long as countries are still fighting for land and people are still in conflict with eachother, there will always be its threat, something thats unpredictable and cannot be stopped without world peace."

Their religion doesn't allow this, that's like saying if a murderer is catholic and he kills someone then he did it because his religion allowed it.

You're just making dumb assumptions.

I don't know if their religion allow it. Some of their religious leaders say it's allowed and some say that it is not. That's the problem!!! The ones that follows the leaders thet defend violence.

That's where those muslim (most of them) who hates this violence have to make a step forward to stop the violent ones. That's what I don't see in muslim world (in general)

I would love to see big demostration in muslim countries against Osama Bin Laden as I've seen is western countries against Iraq war and the politics that promoted it. ( i have only seen it in Morocco. Maybe I'm wrong and more countries have had it)

After Madrid bombing some muslim organization said that religious messages from some leaders had to be controled. That's what I think it's necessary: support general muslims in their normal lives and control extremist ones.

in the example you give, I think it's difficult to happen nowadays because Catholic chuch has offcialy comdemnet any terrorism and violence, but it's true that until last century it has promoted some of the biggest bloodbaths of the history in teh name of Christian God.

I'm not the one who is going to defend catholic church either. In fact, I don't like any religion or persons who bases it 's life in a religion saying that if you don't believe in their God you're bad.
