Marca is running the headline "Tie that tastes like victory." Apparently losing any chance of winning the league tastes like victory.
technically, you can't further lose a lost cause ...

but Marca's headline makes sense, if one considers fighting back with 10 men to get the draw to be a psychological victory -- especially since the importance of the 4 clásicos progresses in ascending order ...

For the first time in their history Madrid play a defensive match against Barça in Bernabeu.

That's the more likely situation. Their defence would NEVER hold up in the EPL.

When was the last time Barcelona conceded more than two goals to an English team?

I thought VV 1 had a really good game.

Didn't get to see the match, but from what I saw from the highlights, it seems that Marcelo once again proved what a dirty bitch he is. Dani got the ball, there was very minimal contact, Marcelo throws himself on the ground and starts celebrating like crazy when the ref falls for it.

^ guess your highlights didn't show Sergio B rolling around like a dirty bitch, holding his head as if he were suffering from an unbearable pain, trying to get someone booked; he was of course up and looking around within a minute, without medical assistance ...

Didn't. Pretty much only showed the penalties.

And I hope you know I've never liked Busquets, especially for his antics.

So I was not home this weekend and didn't get to see the game, but anyone has an explanation on why would Messi hit that ball against the spectators?

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long

What is it about the EPL that would make their defence not hold up?

2 things immediately come to mind:
1. I have never been convinced by Puyol
2. Pique's experience with Man United was not, well, convincing either

I think that the 2 corner-backs would be quite opposite though. They probably would cut it in the EPL.

Anger. Frustration at being, rather surprisingly, held by Real Madrid's defense.

They didn't really show a replay of him kicking the ball. Just of Pepe coming over and yapping at him about something.

Because he's not a saint as many people thought, he is a human and humans make mistakes. He already apologize after the match.

OK, I thought he was a saint, my bad.

Did people call him a spoiled brat like they would definitely do if it was Ronaldo doing that?

Probably not, by does it matter? I'm not fond of Cristiano in particular, just not fond of these kinds of double standards.

fair enough, and I agree ...

"probably not" is a double standard in itself, that's why it matters ... you may not like Cristiano, but his being Portuguese makes a difference for you, and it shouldn't when it comes to a moral argument ... really not a big deal; I was chuckling when I asked the question ...

Puyol and Adriano are alright for Wednesday match. Man, what a brilliant sign Adriano was, he is playing awesome.

Pique wouldn't cut it in the EPL because his 12 appearences as a kid weren't convincing?

What you really seem to be saying is that it's harder to defend in the EPL, and that's bogus.

No, because Messi has no history of that kind of behavior. Ronaldo pouts everytime a match isn't going his way.
