So I decided to get a new pair of everyday shoes. Ideally I would have wanted cross-trainers ...., but price becomes a major factor. Another problem with these training shoes is that they get a bit heavy, because they are quite bulky.

Anyways, I couldn't find anything that stood out at me, for a decent price. So I decided to buy a pair of running shoes. I got this pair from ASICS:

Ofcourse, I won't be using them for running.....they're now my everyday shoes*.

They're comfortable, light and have a conservative design. Did I say there are light? They are VERY light. Walking actually feels so comfortable. Plus, I got them on sale for a 50% discount.

Unless you run everyday, those shouldn't be your everyday shoes.

Yep exactly. Sneakers are NOT every day shoes.

In everyday shoes, I would want comfort....whether they are running shoes or hiking shoes would not matter to me as long as they are comfortable for extended periods of walking.

I dont know how much walking you do every day, but I do a lot and I`m a fast walker......i.e. I don`t stop to smell the roses while I`am walking down the street. Honestly, casual shoes can`t keep up with me.

So it turns out that I was completely wrong. Running shoes are horrible as everyday shoes. They are terrible in terms of support for lateral movement when walking. The only good thing is that the sole of the shoe is really thick and absorbs shock very well. After almost 9 months of EVERYDAY use, I STILL feel very comfortable in this regard.

Anyways, I guess I should post some pictures of my new every day shoes - boots.

What kind of boots. As long as they're not hiking boots or combat boots you should be okay. I'm actually tempted to wear jump boots with civilian clothes.

I just spent $95 on swim shorts and feel a little stupid for having done so. But fuck it, I've wanted them for about 2 years and they retail for $250.
