Make FIX for Numbers and Names

The first demo I had this annoying rainbowcolourbug, but I saw numbers and names on the kits.

Than in the 2nd Demo and in full version the rainbow-colours are gone and names and numbers with them... :p


This is a BUG by EAsports and they cant blame their customers, for not buying a new comp every year, just to satisfy the permanently increasing system requirements.

Im not interested in every single spot on Beckhams ass, a good game doesnt need the best and most expansive graphic cards.


It should be possible to program a code that supports both, high and low performance which the best possible results for all gamers.

EA did a bad job in this case and proved once more that FIFA is just a cashmachine.

A Patch that fixes this BUG and the great number of ridiculous gameplay-bugs is absolutely needed.

Look, u dont seem to understand. A patch to fix this, would slow down the game so much that it wouldnt be worth playing (esp. considering that chances are if ur video card doesnt support it, than ur computer isnt that crash hot).

Before u go thinking im biased, I DO NOT get names and numbers on my jerseys in the game.

This isnt a bug, EA never said that u would have names and numbers, think of it as a bonus for good video cards, rather than a negative for bad ones. They made the game work, without names and numbers, for cards that dont support T & L, so we're lucky EA did that. If they didnt than we wouldnt be able to play the game at all, OR we would, but it would be very sluggy and rainbow etc...

Its not just EA with forever increasing system requirements, to get the most out of ANY new 3D game on the market, u will need a card that supports T & L.

To make a mode that supports other Video cards, would basically be like programing the 3D engine twice, and it would also mean making detection software to see whether a particular card supports T & L.

U ppl are really starting to annoy me with the way they are going on about this. It is a visual thing, for years ppl have said FIFA has the best Visuals, but we dont want visuals we want gameplay, NOW all of a sudden something purely cosmetic like this is so important? Well i suppose they have improved the gameplay enough for u to stop complaining about that, we have to find something new to whinge about....

IT IS NOT Purely cosmetic that I want names and numbers - It assists in the gameplay when I can see who the guy is on my own team before I pass to him.

Sponsors and badges are purely cosmectic but names and numbers are definately NOT...

I can play the game perfectly well without names or numbers but it helps - it does not just make the shirt more pretty.:kader:

haha, as if u can really tell who a player is during a game, whilst worrying about the defence etc. Really if u dont know who ur passing to by where they are on the field, u have no chance. Combining where they are and basic appearance, should let u know everytime.

And really noone gets time to have a good look at the jersey number before passing or whatever.

This is one of the lamest excuses ive ever heard i think

I am convinced the name and numbers do help in recognising who the player is (i'm not sayin you wholly rely on it)...My point is its not purely cosmetic....

How do you know a patch would slow the game down??? have you seen the patch yet? (well shut up then)

Of course it wont be programming it twice, but it might need some brain to do it and there seems to be not enough at EASports.



I HAD numbers and names in the first version , although there were rainbow colours and shadows have been white !
The game speed with BOTH demos was exactly the same !!


Now I have

NO names !
NO numbers !
NO shadows !

And thats just CRAP and not a football game.
Are there amateurs or professionals working at EASports that they are not informed about this probably BUGS when they start developing a new game !

They should have known before and its very easy for them to get information about what kind of graphiccards are spread mostly.


So if they release a football-game with bugs like THIS they work like amateurs
(I know amateur got something to do with amor=love and therefor even this comparrisson doesnt fit, because they do not love what they are doing, its just a job for them)

Just looking at the ugly menus, the ridiculous images during the installation, where we see pictures of a golf-court and youth-players-training-goals I know that they smashed this program together finally in 2 days :rolleyes:

Starting to sum-up all gameplaybugs (count in ridiculous 50yards-goals, players with cards in their hands, unreal pitch- and goalsize, sleeping players,...) it would take me an hour to mention most of them. Just play and you find enough, or just look in the forums around.

Maybe they did a good start, but it ended just in a big disappointment ... :(
