No doubt, this is a (very serious) bug in the game and there is no doubt about it.

You can read the official info about the "names and numbers" problem here. So, next time, please, verify your information before you start flaming like here. But no problem, newbies do this very often here

and i think ea should make the patch 'cause there are a lot of people that really can't buy a new graphics card
think in my ca.
a year ago 1 dollar equaled 1 peso
1 dollar= 1 argetinia Peso
but now this:
1 dollar= 4 pesos
and If I have to buy a new graphics card I have to pay at least 250 dolar.. think... how much pesos I have to pay...

Look i did Computer Science at Uni, and am always keeping up with the latest in Computer technology.

T&L is the way of the future, and this is why EA used it for their names and numbers. Some video cards wont show them, but for these video cards to be able to show them, AND the cards that support T&L to use T&L to show them, it would mean programming that part of the game twice. Once for T&L once for non-T&L. Soon all 3D cards released will have T&L, and eventually 99% of games will need it. It wasnt that long ago games didnt need 3D accelerators, before that games didnt need Direct X. As games began to need these things, ppl were angry that they couldnt play these games. EA have let u still play FIFA, just without Names and Numbers.

Your last comment is a little immature, but coming from somebody that has said they are only 13, and really doesnt seem to know that much in the way of how programming, software and computer hardware inter-relate, I suppose it can be expected.

A patch to simulate T&L properly would cause slow down, if it didnt simulate it properly u would end up with rainbow colours like in the demo, and chances are would get slowdown as well (most ppl i know say that the full version runs smoother than the demo ).

Anyway, thats enough from me, I really couldnt be bothered replying to this thread anymore. It seems you ppl wont listen to somebody trying that may just know more than u about the situation.

Well said, i told them about t 'n' l earlier but they just wont listen, and bughater had to bee stupid and say that i was gay in his sig and in the posts. They just dont listen

There are no plans as of yet to release such a patch. Furture details on such releases will be advertised on our website.

In attempt to improve this issue we can only suggest updating the driver for your video card and then setting the detail level within the options to the game on to full. If the numbers still fail to appear, this is due to video card not having the transform and lighting compatibility.
