Starting XI

Man City v Man Utd

City of Manchester Stadium
Sunday, 13 February
Kick-off: 1300 GMT

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steve McManaman is set to make a rare start for Manchester City in place of the suspended Paul Bosvelt.

Manager Kevin Keegan's other option for the Manchester derby is to play Antoine Sibierski alongside Joey Barton and recall striker Jon Macken.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a major doubt for United after picking up a calf injury on international duty with Portugal.

Mikael Silvestre is suspended but Rio Ferdinand and Ryan Giggs have proved their fitness after hamstring injuries.

Man City (from): James, Weaver, Mills, Onouha, Dunne, Distin, Sommeil, Thatcher, Jordan, S Wright-Phillips, Flood, Barton, McManaman, Sibierski, Musampa, Fowler, Macken, B Wright-Phillips.

Man United (from): Carroll, Howard, G Neville, P Neville, Ferdinand, Brown, O'Shea, Heinze, Fortune, Ronaldo, Scholes, Keane, Giggs, Rooney, Saha, Bellion, Fletcher.

Van Nistelrooy might play. 0-1 to United in a tough competitive match, but Citeh will be defensive and Heinze will destroy SWP.

Yeah but you never know with SAF......... remember last year's injury crisis? Sometimes he says a player might be otu for two weeks then he starts him three days later.

city 2:1

city could do something to derby.

Keegan is so particular, and different from others in England

2-0 to United.... Will be tough game but i think the goals will come in the second half. Good luck to Ruud for comeback. Hope he is fit for the rest of the season:)

Winning a derby game will give man utd heaps of confidence, it will be a hard game no doubt, and Man City have just come out of a draw with Chelsea, so theyll be confident. Hope we can win this one comfortably

Man utd 2-0 Citeh

of course i'm rooting for United all the way, but i have a feeling that this could end up a draw (and negate the effects of last week's City/Chelsea draw)

SWP (x2)

Scholes

2-1 to City. Fowler/ SWP, Rooney.

Fowler has a good scoring record against the scum, SWP will be wanting to impress after being played out of possie for England.

If our defence can play like they did against Chelsea, we should be ok. And Ruud not being there is hardly a disadvantage for united, he has played in the two defeats we inflicted over them in recent seasons.

Pity C. Ronaldo is out, would have been good to see Dunne the brick wall crash into him... but Duff has already done the work.

Help?

Lol oh man, every non Utd fan has predicted a City win. I'll enjoy this.
That's how it's been for 12 years since we won the 2nd EPL title in a row. Jealousy is a big thing ;)

BTW yes that ****er Duff injuried Ronaldo in the friendly game, right infront of Mourinho's eyes, who was watching the game from the stands. Jose probably gave an extra couple of thousands of pounds reward for the heroic tackle  :kader: :kader: :kader: .
