1) 1st home loss to West Brom since 1978
2) 1st home loss to Newcastle since 1972
3) 1st home loss to Everton since 1992
4) 1st league loss to Stoke since 1984
5) 1st loss to Sunderland since 2000
6) 1st ever home loss to Swansea
7) 1st ever loss to a Greek team.
8) 3 defeats in a row for the first time since 2001
9) Eliminated from FA Cup competition at the third round stage for only the second time in three decades
10) 1st Everton double over United since 34 years.
11) No Champions League football for the 1st time since 1970.

There are some more that can be added actually:

12) Signs Mata for a record 37.1 million pounds
13) Rooney signs a 300,000 pounds per week, makes him the best paid player in United’s history.

The manager decides on transfers and contracts I believe. During Fergie's time it was this way at least.

These last 2 are not necessarily unwanted broken records but are still broken records.

This is not correct. In fact, it is so ridiculously false that you should be ridiculed for posting such a thing. Even if United have finished 4th in every season since 1970 (they haven't), English teams were outright banned from the competition after Hillsbrough, not to mention that for about half of those years only the Champion played in the European Cup.

Is this also a record?

First manager in the Premier League to lose twice to his former club without scoring a goal.

Yeah, my bad. Since 1990 or whatever. Will need to check on that one.

There were no English clubs in the EC in 90/91. Arsenal was the representative in 91/92. Leeds were the representative in 92/93. Blackburn was the representative in 95/96.

Good stats though.

Was there only 1 representative from England then? I know nothing about the European football back then.
