ya there's really no doubt that Isaksson will be the #1 when he's fit. I dont want Sven to bring in another keeper though, Kasper at least deserves the bench spot once Andreas comes back

sigh...he gets the perfect chance to revive his career and gets injured like that 7 minutes into the game...poor guy.

It would've been perfect for me if he scored and MANU won but neither happened :(

Valeri Bojinov's knee injury could be worse than expected, keeping the Manchester City striker out of action for four to five months.

The Bulgarian hopes the doctor who helped Francesco Totti play in the World Cup can speed his recovery from an injury that initial reports had said would sideline him for three months.

Bojinov suffered ligament damage in his first start for Manchester City on Sunday, and may not play again until 2008.

"My knee ligaments are torn and I am going to Rome where I will be operated by the doctor, who conducted a surgery on Francesco Totti in the past," Bojinov told Gong radio.

The Roma captain suffered a serious ankle injury last spring but made a swift recovery and played a full part for Italy as the Azzurri became world champions in Germany.

The a similar cruciate ligament injury caused Bojinov's compatriot and City team-mate Martin Petrov to miss the bulk of the 2006/07 season at Atletico Madrid.

"My injury is the same as the one Martin Petrov had last year and I am expected to be out of action for about four to five months," Bojinov added.

"Sven-Goran Eriksson and the club authorities have told me that they will wait for me to recover and will count on me in the future.

"The club owner [Thaksin Shinawatra] has also told me that I can fully rely on the club and they will help me with everything I need."

I'm starting to hear rumors that city will try to get Yakubu or even Henrik Larsson.

Micah Richards. LEGEND! damn, what a player. He is fast as hell, VERY strong, intercepts everything! What a player! I bought him for my FM team and he is also fantastic there ;)

sucks about Bojinov, but we really do NOT need another striker on this team. we've got plenty of reserves for him. also, I hope we don't get Amelia from Livorno since Kasper at least deserves the bench when Isaksson gets back (this is a recording)

I gotta admit it - i do like the MCity squad, not only because Valeri and Martin play there, buvt because there are damn nice players there. MIcah is the ultimative right back, and Nedum Onuoha is a hell of a fighter, he basically created the second goal against West Ham by himself, carrying 3 defenders on the back and passing to Bozhinov, who passed then to Geovanni.
I'd love to see more teams cracking into the top 4 teams in the Premiership.
I reckon it would be perfect if City replace ARsenal for the 4th spot this year, and why not climb even higher then fourth...

^ I really can't see them playing better than Arsenal...

^ doesn't matter, I will be happy with a boring 0-0 draw out of this game. Then we have Blackburn, Fulham and Villa, Newcastle and Middlesbrough, all of which we are capable of getting draws or wins in, before meeting Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. If we can escape the pre-Chelsea games without major injury and getting draws or wins (in the home games, we should be capable) then we will be well set up. The games away to Blackburn and Fulham are the types of games we would have stuffed up last season, so hopefully we continue our form AND our luck.

How would you rate Vedran Ćorluka so far in City's team, from 1 - 10?

yet to see a full match but from what I've heard on forums on stuff is that he's flawless in his tackles but he's a bit on the slow side and needs to improve his fitness. but I'm pretty sure he's been averaging an 8 rating so far this season as a right back (Y)

I'm gonna watch the game against Arsenal this weekend just to see what all the buzz is about. If you lose, go ahead and blame it on me.
