Aye, I think it's just the media's way of trying to explain his dip in form. He's rejected the claims himself, saying he's actually fitter than he was last season.

Petrov was arguably our biggest threat when he was healthy, but I don't see how he and Robinho can play in the same starting XI...

GK: Hart
DL: Bridge
DC: Dunne/Richards
DC: Kompany
DR: Zabaleta
DM: New Signing
ML: Petrov
MR: SWP
AM: Ireland
FW: Robinho
ST: Sturridge/Benjani/Bojinov/New Signing

That's all I can really think of right now. I'd try to sell Micah while he's still worth something and move Kompany back to centreback since his passing isn't exactly excellent to be playing a midfield role and sign a new DM. Dunne can finish the season as his partner but this should be his last on the team to be honest, cant stand to see him anymore. Onouha might be going to PSG apparently, Michael Johnson should be leaving soon as well since he's always injured and rumour is he's not exactly taking it very well (been out late and drinking a lot, put on some weight apparently).

To conclude, this team's a mess right now. We need to offload a lot of players, starting with Micah or Onouha, Jo and Johnson.

lol micah richards is our best defender

Not saying much when you're competing with the likes of Dunne and Ben-Haim, who are having horrible seasons. lol.

Ya, for 2 or 3 games only, I think when Dunne was suspended for the most part. I remember us being more solid at the back than usual in those games as well, he's very no-nonsense

I think Richards is a good player. I'd like to see him play at RB for England.

If you wanted to play Petrov and Robinho together then it could work. Based on what you've got at the moment:

Hart
Zabaleta, Richards, Dunne, Bridge
Fernandes
Wright-Phillips, Petrov
Ireland
Sturridge, Robinho

Playing a 4-4-2 diamond with Robinho as an striker not as a left forward and then Petrov as a left winger. Defence is definitely the area you need to improve. Players like Bridge may not be the high profile ones you want but you'll definitely feel the benefits of them.

Or Kompany in place of Fernandes, that'd be a pretty solid lineup on paper. ON PAPER. We are City after all.

edit: just read that Richards is asking Hughes to be played as a right-back.

Hart
Richards, Kompany, Dunne, Bridge
Zabaleta, Ireland, Petrov
SWP, Sturridge, Robinho

Zabaleta's more than capable of playing the wing role I think. And Ireland can easily shift to the left and play a more attacking role and have someone like Fernandes or Hamann play the centre role to help cover defensively.

yeah.. i dont really like that one, you cant have attacking midfeilders take up most of your midfeild roles in a 4-3-3

the only attacking midfield i see in that line up its ireland, zabaleta its winger/fullback, petrov winger, swp winger, robinho natural role its SS but for his talent can play like a 10 or a winger.
