Friendlies mean nothing at all as we saw last year and Neyssi did not play but not a bad game, especially the defense. Blind is interesting to see in defense and he was very solid. He looked like he played there for ages. With the 2 new DMs, LvG will probably use Blind as CB or LB. We need CB reinforcements but who knows, Blind may be a revelation at CB (lets hope). Very good purchase given his age and versatility.
Schneiderlin is very good at interceptions and passing but He lost 2-3 balls in midfield today which was disappointing to watch. He was just slow to pass. Maybe its because he is not used to play against a team like Barca? I think he will adapt.
Darmian makes a big difference defensively at RB. He is a natural RB, reminds me of Neville. His dribbling and penetration may not be as good as Rafael or Valencia (and this is very subjective) but he is a true defender; excels in defense and contributes going forwards.
Depay was good: seems to be working well with Rooney. I am always skeptical about Eredivisie stars but he is showing good signs and plays well for Holland also. I would still prefer him as LW and Mata as AM. Mata always seems to drift centrally.

I think you're right and thats probably how he converted Schweinsteiger into a midfielder.
We have signed Sergio Romero. This came out of nowhere. Lots of things happening with the Argentimes: Rojo misses his flight because of passport issues, Di Maria misses his flight also, probably because he is leaving and another Argentine manages to make it to us.
