Hmmm this Martial transfer actually got my blood boiling. What's the official amount which will be paid to Monaco? 60-70m euros? God damn. We could've signed Lacazette for that money two times cheaper.

I saw both matches recently when Valencia played Monaco in the CL qualification stage, and Martial was basically the only guy who looked dangerous on the ball, always making runs into space and being a real nuisance to the defenders. He's young as well so I hope he turns out alright for us.

Oh and could anybody (Nady?) describe our CB partnership between Smalling and Blind. From what I've heard Smalling has been quite solid so far this season. I just haven't seen the matches except against Brugge.
It's a damn shame that we missed out on Otamendi in my humble opinion. At least Marcos Rojo is coming back soon.

So hmm.. I think delaying the Pedro signing was a bad thing and I believe he would have shined for us. Also I'm kind of frustrated that Ander Herrera hasn't gotten much playing time. Over a long period of time I can finally say that our midfield is packed with quality players and it's not really a walk into the starting XI for anyone.

And what does the future hold for De Gea then? Going to rot on the bench the whole season risking his No.1 shirt for Spain in 2016. I have a strong feeling that
he'll be playing in the Champions League matches. His transfer to Real Madrid got fucked up right? So that's not happening yet. Once he actually leaves the club I gotta say that I'm going to miss him.

Smalling and Blind have been very solid but we have not had any challenging oppositions yet except Spurs. Darmian and Schneiderlin make very important contributions to the defense also.

Schneiderlin is a very intelligent player; he fills in whenever someone for e.g. Darmian has gone forwards. Also good tackler and pretty decent passer of the ball. He will be very important against the top guns.

Mmm okay. Thanks for that little summary. I haven't really seen proper matches. Against Brugge they barely attacked and we had like 65% of the ball. Couldn't really rate Schneiderlin against such weak opposition for example.

Also I think Darmian is a fantastic signing. Got him for a reasonable fee and the guy is quality. I want some more Italians in the team!

Smalling is progressing very nicely but I think Blind, who is not in his best position at cb, will get caught out against quality, pacey attacks.

I agree, this is very likely to happen.

I expect back 3 for those kind of games

Could be, we did well with that stupid formation against the top guns but once 4-5-1 started working, LvG played 4-5-1 against the top guns too. So I think it will still most likely be 4-5-1 against the top guys too. Schneiderlin sometimes almost plays like an "advanced defender" anyway.

God these statements Perez is making... bitter much, very cringey. Its not even election year is it?

I love how United hit back:

"The facts speak for themselves and the FA are prepared to back our case that the documents were in on time.

"Real seem intent to move the focus away from their own clumsiness this summer. We all like to blame others but if you let one slip through your fingers into the back of the net, then ultimately the culpability is yours."

Fuck 'em! (Real) I wish De Gea would sign a new contract and stay with us and get into the starting XI again. He has the potential to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world, if he isn't already.

I asked my french friend about Martial, he said he's a bit more talented Danny Welbeck.
Well he's just 19 and has plenty of time to develop. From those Monaco matches I've seen he's been a standout player. If he flops then I think you should change your signature and replace the Di Maria picture with Martial. :D

I hate to say this but I told you Di Maria was fucking waste of money ... 14m wasted ...

Anyway, I hope same doesnt happen with Martial ... oh, and I missed you Chygry ;-)

I don't remember you telling that. Did you say it when he was signed? It just didn't work out for him. And I have to say that he joined the club at a wrong time. I mean van Gaal was changing formations all the time throughout the season in order to find the perfect system and couldn't really find a proper position for Di Maria. Remember the guy was even played in the Robben role as a striker at some point. The whole team needed to gel and in the end it did. I'm fairly certain that had he stayed - he would've had a lot better season this time around. But it's not like I really miss him. We've got Memphis! :P

You missed me? That was probably said with sarcasm but I don't mind ha.

Depay is overrated. He was a star in a league that Kuyt was a superstar. In his 4 EPL games he did Carlos*shit so far.

Overrated? I wouldn't say so. He's just 21 and has a lot of time to develop. He seems real professional about it as well. He's got the physicality, pace, good ball control, a fierce shot. Basically everything in order to become a truly great player, and I most definitely believe he'll achieve that.

He showed glimpses of what he can do against Brugge. But they're not really a good measuring point. I gotta admit he still looks a bit raw at times, but that will change.

I haven't seen any of our EPL matches yet so I cannot comment on the last part. He needs some time to adjust.

Brugge is equivalent to an English reserves team.

He must adapt so we must wait and see. So far he has been ineffectual. Did not contribute to anything.
