Looking good but I hope van Gaal does not play Fellaini instead of Mata as LAM because Mata offers a lot more forwards. The only advantage with Fellaini is that he offers physical presence, wins aerial duels in midfield. Mata is a midget.

I have a feeling that DdG will stay another year then will go to Madrid next year.

what we need is:
1) 1 or 2 CBs, preferably Otamendi
2) A backup striker for Rooney because Rooney is captain therefore "undroppable" - Someone like Benteke could be what Loic Remy is for Chelsea i.e. will score whenever you need him i.e. not a Balotelli
3) GK - ut I think DdG will stay 1 more year.

Means we have to find a replacement for De Gea then. Valdes is alright but not starting lineup IMO.

2) We are still strongly interested in Schneiderlin despite Schweinsteiger.

Good idea to get a huge squad for the UCL. This may mean Herrera will be benched.

Schweinsteiger - Schneiderlin would be solid especially against top sides.

Another possibility is a diamond 4-4-2 with Rooney-Depay upfront.
