According to news, Juve is going to beat Fiorentina for Berba, but Sir Alex is against that transfer after Pogba incident, don't make old man angry ;).

No but seriously, if we hadn't destroyed you in that game who knows where my club would be right now.

Ribery was an absolute monster that game

it was a very bad decision not to sell him last year, he was EPL top scorer and still hot, we could easily sell him 10-15M rather using him to warm the bench.

Btw, Rooney rubbished transfer rumors and he said it will motivate him to come back even stronger.

I think Kagawa should do well as midfield, he comes back alot to midfield area to take the ball and distribute it. United still have 4-4-2 mentality and our wingers play so wide not like Dortmunt 4-2-3-1. I hope Fergie uses him in that area so we can see how he would fit.

no way this year, we will send them with some extra wholes back to Portugal ;), and that's the bottomline.

Senior Squad
Last year the group was:
1) a decent side (Benfica)
2) a Basel-esque semi-**** team (United)
3) a Basel-esque semi-**** team (Basel)
4) a **** team tough to beat, but will thanks to penalties (Otelul)

This year the group is:
1) a Basel-esque semi-**** team (Braga)
2) a Basel-esque semi-**** team (United)
3) a Basel-esque semi-**** team (Galatasaray)
4) a **** team tough to beat, but will thanks to penalties (Cluj)

So, as you can see in my in-depth analysis, we do have a better chance to go through this year.

PS. I'm glad that I achived my 500th post with an intelligent post like this!

i like the way people think about Braga. Meanwhile they eliminate Sevilla last year and Udinese this year.

Udine aren't too great this year, lost a few good players, but still Braga have done very well

Ashley Young is out for 3 weeks.

The injuries already started, list after 2 matches :(:

Rio
Jones
Smalling
Rooney
Young

Fletcher and Evans played the full 90 minutes in the latest reserve game. At least some players are coming back.

Rio should be back in training in 2 weeks. I don't care about Rooney's absence right now because he looked extremely unfit. He has been looking overweight and slow for the past few months. This injury will make things worse but we have RvP now and Wellbeck and Chicharito are more than enough for cover.

Nani will come in for Young, so its not a major loss.

I think Carrick should be back in central midfield as soon as we get a defender back. We have badly missed a defensive presence in midfield. Carrick is more of a passer than a defensive midfielder but he does the defensive work better than anyone else. Jones is an option there as well.

I wouldn't rush Evans back in action right now. I mean, he is probably ready for action but he has been off for a long time and lacks match practice. He probably needs some more games for the reserves.
