Y'know, I really fancy Spurs for tonight - I think our huge dent in Citeh's Champions League aspirations will fire them up.

I'd love to see Spurs finish fourth - I've always had a sneaking regard for them coz my dad supports them. Plus they despise Arsenal. :innocent_smile_1:

So, we've won Manchester derbies 3 times out of 4 this season and all 3 wins were last minute! Owen at the 97th minute lol, Scholes at the 93th minute today and Rooney at the 93rd minute in the Carling cup (it was 3-3 over both legs)

Help?

Great second half display and thankfully City's defense fell asleep for 30 seconds. After 90 minutes of staying well focused, they let Evra roam all the way free on the left and then left Ireland to cover Giggs and Scholes in the middle? They must have all switched off from watching Obertan stand in place with the ball while all his teammates streamed forward.

In the end it turned out to be a great game for us, City really have made some strides and after all that's happened this season, at least we can take a double (triple) over them. Nani should have started instead of Giggs though.

It was obvious to me in the final minutes City were content to play for a draw.

City have made some strides, but then given the money they spent it was to be expected that they would.

It was a pretty sloppy game and not very exciting from the spectator's standpoint.

Honestly I think the shining moment was the VDS save on the Tevez free kick. It was a fantastic save on what was really a brilliantly placed ball by Tevez.

Scholes did well to direct the ball with his head but the goal moreso resulted from City's defense breaking down, I think.

I don't know how I feel about the 4-3-3. I'd rather see them use a 4-4-2 with a diamond midfield, but it would depend on whether or not Hargreaves and Anderson are fit for next season, also who, if anyone, comes to the club. As is, I would like to see this:

----------------------VDS------------------------
--------------------------------------------------
Rafael------------Vidic------Rio---------------Evra
--------------------------------------------------
-------------------Hargreaves---------------------
---------------------------------------------------
Valencia---------------------------------------Nani
---------------------------------------------------
--------------------Anderson----------------------
---------------------------------------------------
--------------------------Rooney------------------
----------------Berbs------------------------------

Hargreaves as the holding midfielder and Anderson in a more attacking role, let Nani and Valencia roam free on the wings.

Of course, if I had my way I would see a different striker in for Berbs...either Benzema or Villa...and Gourcuff in Anderson's spot.

1-0 Spurs on 15 minutes, Defoe penalty.

Spurs were unlucky not to get a penalty on 13 minutes, then a minute later they got one on a phantom hand ball, so justice was served.

Now let's hope they can make it stand up.

And I forgot to mention...evidently, City is going to be in for Joe Cole this summer, and you know they will be able to offer more than us.

It's too bad, I was really hoping we would be able to get him.

PS 30 minutes in and Spurs should probably be up 3-0...still 1-0 as it stands...

45 minutes between us and being right back in the hunt.

C'mon you Spurs! I'm also somewhat satisfied that Chelsea got a couple of bad decisions given against them too.

The darling of the FA, has just been dismissed!! John Terry has finally been punished for something!

He'll miss Chelsea's next game too - this is getting better and better.

Spurs should've been 5-0 up or something by now... Spurs are brilliant. Dawson M.o.M.

I knew it Chelsea would have 1 player sent off. How many reckless tackles did they make?

I'm just happy it's Terry, the things he gets away with are criminal.

F*ck, Fat frank just got one back.

Well they held on so the gap is just one point now.

But now WE have to deal with Tottenham...

It won't be easy, but the two big victories for Spurs were at the Lane. Old Trafford will be a different proposition, and hopefully United will be 100% on our game.

The grest news is that Terry will now miss a vital game, the gap is down to one and Chelsea have to visit Anfield, where Liverpool might just be responsible for getting us the 19th Title.

I think there's probably a couple of twists and turns in this race to come - but I wouldn't be tying the blue ribbons on the Premier League trophy just yet.
