Villa won't come to United, he has already said he will only play in Spain next season. That leaves Valencia or Barca for him.

We should be going after Aguero but it's pointless because his club won't sell him.

Signing Valencia was a good move, but it's not enough. If we take the current squad into the new season we will not win the Premiership and will have no chance whatsoever at the Champion's League.

doe this leave the road clear for man united to sign villa? hoping that the above 27 age policy is fake...
because forget about people thinking benzema is over rated
he is a proven goalscorer in europe as well
if we say he didnt top french leagues top scoring chart, look at rooney..neither did rooney..but still he is a massive player for us
i believe letting benzema slip out is a big mistake...because there arent many options left
and i think real madrid are taking the market by a storm..every other player wants to play for them. I understand it has a big tradition and history.but common its all over now...

With so much money in the bank, I expect us to make one major signing
Lol..why not go for giving 60-70 m for torres and see if the scum accept it or not :D

i so aint liking the shape up to the season so far..

After buying Valencia United needs no more. Macheda and Welbeck are able to fill in the spot left buy Tevez. United will find it hard to buy most other player since everyone will want a slice of the Ronaldo transfer.

We will see what will happen in the next few weeks. If SAF was really going for Benzema then he would have put in a bid, but the thing is he didn't. The media were just guessing, as the representatives of Lyon said that they had only received one official bid (from Real). It would have been nice though to have a great player like him on our side. I actually don't think that we will be getting a striker. Welbeck and Macheda will be playing a bigger role next season....they showed what they can do, they'll do just fine

It feels like the EPL is losing its appeal and that's all because of Real Madrid and their expenditure.

Fergie is doing the right thing by keeping his money in his pocket. Benzema is overrated indeed and has nothing to warrant a 35M price tag ,he has not even top scored in France!!

What I do hope is that Fergie also turns a blind eye to Ribery as I believe his is the most ridiculous of all. He has done absolutely nothing nothing and Bayern want more than 70M for him,the entire boardroom should be jailed. They refer to him as 'one of the 3 best players in the world' LOL who shot the other 50 or so players ahead of him and stuck him in there?
He is nearly 27, so leave him there Madrid,United, whoever else and in a year or 2 they'll be offering him to vallodolid!!

That's ridiculous. Ribery is the only winger in the world that is available (albeit for an exorbitant price) that can come close to matching Ronaldo's goal scoring. He's scored 33 goals and added 24 assists for Bayern in the last two years. Yes, he's 27 years old, which is a little older than you would like, but he still has 5 years of prime football to go.

I don't think Manchester United should go after Ribery because of their debts, but without a doubt he's one of the top 5 wingers in the world (and probably #3).

Not possible, even on Football Manager.

Btw, I always had the feeling Benzema could be a big gamble. I'm not telling he wouldn't be good for us, but look at Djibril Cisse for example. He moved to Liverpool about the same age as Benzema is now. He was top scorer in the french league but never came up to expectations in the EPL. The thing is that there's a huge difference between the french league and the EPL.

Anyway I don't think that we'll go for a striker as well. Benzema is gone and I don't think SAF will go after Aguero. That would be like getting a new Tevez. Only player in sight could be Huntelaar maybe who we could get for quite cheap IMO.

Yeah, but if Fergie wanted to sign Huntelaar, then why didn't he add him to the Ronaldo deal in the first place?

Fergie is the best scout Real Madrid has ever had.

Real Madrid are the best buyers Fergie has ever had the pleasure to deal with.

Anyways, I hope Valencia can step up a gear with United and doesn't turn out a 'Bad' signing :D

its new u guys knw already but read this part twice :
""After Milan and Real Madrid made their offers Barcelona came in - they wanted to pay £30million for my services but after Sir Alex's move, I am definitely staying in Manchester until my contract expires in 2012.

"I don't care that I will still not be paid as much as my good friends Rio Ferdinand or Wayne Rooney but I guess I will be at the same level as Berbatov or Carrick.""

how many of u think that he is being a bit sarcastic here??

cant believe the "has-been" team stole another player right under our noses. But as someone said, fergie didnt put in an official bid so i guess he wasnt interested or maybe the asking price put him off. I wonder who is fergie eyeing next. I mean if its aguero, itll be a complete waste of money. i dont think we really need him.

Well, according to the papers we have 3 offers for Hunter and one of them is from you guys. I think the price is around 20 million euros (though I think it will be more like 25 million euros). There is also Ruud for sale but he will go elsewhere, like Tottenham would be my guess.

I am not to sure about Huntelaar. He is a great goalscorer and a predator in the box, but footballwise a bit slow, but you never know...... With Valencia's and Nani's crossing ability he can be very dangerous

wht do you guys think about lennon?
he has a massive pace
is good enough to be with united on the wings
he is young
why dont we go for him?

I would definitely like to have Lennon in the team. He is probably the only player in the Premiership now that could match Ronaldo's speed.
