i agree this game needs to be blamed on the defence for being lost..
but ingeneral...for al lthe upcoming games, it wld be better if fergie stopped tinkering...and play the usual rooney berba combo

why but? the attack wasn't the problem, 95% of the time, being a big club and scoring 3 goals is enough to win a game

The attack clearly wasn't the problem yesterday. It's our defence, silly mistakes seems to cost us directly. Really a shame to lose two points, whiles we were the better side, in controle and dominant. Positive thing is that we almost have the difficult away games out of the way this early in the season....but this is just a shame.....I hope that SAF will give them the hairdryer treatment, cause two identical incidents in four games is a bit too much

Thats something that should have happened 3 years ago. All due respect to him but he's been playing 1 game in 4 in recent years.

And um... he's sucked in those 25% of games. I read last week that Neville thought last year would be his last at United and it really should have been. A club with such high debt shouldn't be handing out that kind of charity to a bum like Neville.

He's excellent. I didn't say anything to the contrary, he's just inconsistent. Based on past performances, I don't think he will keep playing at the top of his game for the whole season, I doubt he would be able to keep that up for more than a month or two.

To be fair that is because when Ronaldo was around, Nani rarely played regularly. Often he would play then next game he is on the bench even if he played well before. Wasnt it like this for Malouda a while back? Also Nani used to try take the whole team by himself that didnt help his chances at all. We will see a more consistent Nani this season as he is getting games.

Malouda wasn't inconsistent, he was just quite poor. He had a few good games, sure, but those were rare. It wasn't a pattern of inconsistency. The Chelsea equivalent would probably be Kalou, who can be great and poor in equal measure.

Nani was definitely better last year, but he still has some way to go before he can be considered a top player, because top players play that way 4 out of 5 games, at least. We'll have to wait and see if he can keep it up.

If Rangers keep defending like this we'll have no chance of scoring. They have at least 8 players in the box when the ball is in their half. We need some more penetration. Bring on Nani.

That injury looked bad. He's probably gonna be out for 6+ months. Kind of like Smudge's injury. Huge blow. I wonder who's gonna be played at right midfield now. I'd like to see Giggs on the left and Nani on the right but Giggs won't be able to play all games.

About the game, crap boring one. I knew it we were never gonna score with Rangers playing all defense. Plus side is that Ferdinand is back and played very well. Smalling and Brown had good games.

You can maybe rest alot of players when its the last quarter of the season..when players are injured...

What is your view on the fact Fergie prefers Owen to Macheda. In todays game, when rangers had like 8 players in the box, its a player like MAcheda who is good in the air and powerful to have some impact.

And Jonny Evans wtf for Fabio ? That killed our wingplay on the left.

The tactic rangers used sucked big time and its sickening to see in a first Cl group game of teh season.

I mean we lacked ideas, penetration or even the finishing needed ..

frustrating performance but i am more worried for valencia. Big loss for us. Now we only have one winger with pace to burn in nani. And I quite get the feeling that without scholes, we look very ordinary.

Some are saying that Valencia's injury isn't as bad as it looks if it is an ankle injury. That would take around 4 months to heal, I hope so.....

This would mean that we will see Nani on the right side and maybe Obertan aswell. Smalling, Rio, Brown and Fabio did there defensive duties well, especially Smalling. Good to see Rio playing comfortably.

I'm thinking of who can replace Valencia until he comes back. I think Fergie will rotate between Giggs and Park with Nani being starter on the other wing. Fletcher is another option for right midfield. I don't think Obertan or Bebe are good enough to even be on the bench for now.

I get your point about Macheda, we could have used a tall player in the midst. You could clearly see that SAF has Liverpool's game on his mind. In games like these you can see how important a player such has Berbatov is...

Kalou will never do what Nani did to Bayern or Arsenal. Thats a joke of a comparison. SO far Nani had 5 great games out of 5. Good signs.

I don't really like Park on the left wing TBH. He lacks pace and speed for that position (as shown in this game). I prefer him playing more centrally.
