whats the point in putting Silvestre at LB? SAF isn't going to drop the partnership of Rio and Silvstre for a while yet, unless he decides to bring in Pique. He definately wouldn't put O'Shea at CB and Silvestre at LB. If Gaz isn't fit i'd like to see Bardsley start and O'Shea on the left rather than Richardson at LB and O'Shea at RB.

I can't see Scholes being dropped either, especially if Keane doesn't play.

Silvestre played many years as a LB - I'd just would give him an option instead of using midfielders there and when Gaz is back, O'Shea can go and play there. Pique may have been on the bench recently but he needs more time/developpment IMO

Scholes is playing poor atm, so he should be benched, + we need somebody who not only looks good going forward, but holds the ball, passes them on and does some tacklings/closing downs if needed and whilst I agree that we don't have a 2nd Keane, Fletcher and even Smith would be better than Scholes.

yeah I know he's not gonna play 4-4-2 but rather his Queresm-line-up-of-the-day still if you have an "inexpiriend" team, with 2 important players missing we should get back to basics and play it simple. yeah I know I'm only dreaming...play 4-4-2 Fergie: "Never heard of that"

yes Silvestre did play as LB for United for quite a while i know, but he's always made it clear that CB is his favourite position out of the two and he feels he plays better there. Also the fact that him and Rio have played together for quite a while now they've built up a good partnership and understanding of each other. To have to go through the whole process of bonding two CBs again for no apparent reason would be a waste.

What do you have to do to beat Chelsea?, just when I thought Charlton could get a draw, Chelsea scored two goals within 5 minutes....it's all up to Man U, since we can't rely on anybody else, I was expecting Arsenal to upset them on day two when they played eachother

have faith in our youngsters....i mean give the kid a few games before drawing and kind of conclusion. Besidez he turned down the chance to go back to west brom and opted to fight for a place at united.

I have faith in Richardson. It's not about him being young, it's about Richardson being a winger, not a defender. If Fergie would play Scholes as a CB, I would say the same.

Another things you people were moaning about is the ticket prices. Well, there was a report in the Express yesterday about ticket prices. Villa have the chepest ticket prices ranging from £17 to £31, know who's are second chepeast? Yes thats right, Manchester United and Bolton, from £21 - £41 and £39 respectively. Birminghams START at £41, with chelsea's at £45, and Tottenhams going right upto £70.

Aside from our injuries, we also need to start to find the ball into the back of the net, we have forgotten how to score goals. Can we now go back to 4-4-2? this formation is just not working. I don't sense an urgency when they were playing...i'm lost for words. :nape:

2nd game in a row...Ruud deprived of service ...our midfield ONLY knows how to defend.

and we are not exactly playing "4-3-3".... its 4-5-1 in disguise.

Dissapointing result today, but in 'normal' situations these type of results wouldn't look bad as it is, but Chelsea's latest results make any team's result look bad, I don't even want to blame Man U, Chelsea is just having perfect results.....

I second that we should play Bardsley on the right and O'Shea on the left. Richardson is a winger but not a defender. and if we keep on putting both Giggs and Park on the bench, we can hardly score. and not trying to think about the "88 goals this season" thing.

p.s. I didnt know there's a new Team Threads forum :p when has it been created?

okay man this is turning into last season. the injuries, the lost points! what the hell is going on with fergie and his **** formation! from 4-3-3 he has now changed it to 4-3-2-1, doesn't that dumb scot know rooney is only effective in the central areas and not wide!!! and doesn't he know van nistelrooy can't play effective on his own up front! i say scrap whatever formation and go back to the good old 4-4-2!!!

Rooney is not playing as a winger. Ok he is on the wing at times, but that's not necessarily his position.

From what i've interpreted SAF has basically said to Rooney that he has his defensive commitments to fulfill, but when we're attacking he can basically do whatever the fu'ck he likes.
