I just can't see Ruud leaving just yet, unless SAF has another goalscoring machine in sight, a bit scary to think that this could be Ruud's last match for us

Yeah, but you only gotta look at the summer of 1995 to know Fergie doesn't shirk the big changes, he bombed Ince, Kanchelskis and Sparky in a few weeks! Plus he got rid of Beckham and Jaap Stam (though Stam was a mistake) I'd be somewhat upset but not surprised if Ruud went in the summer. I'm excited about Guiseppe Rossi getting more action next season - the kid is special. When Smithy gains fitness, then we'll still have four class strikers (Rooney, Saha, Smith and Rossi)

I still wonder why Rossi doesn't get much play time at this stage. Everytime he plays he's brilliant. He's 19 now and he should already break into the first team by now (at least as a sub). Is he not ready or its because we already have too many strikers? I have some doubts...

Well I suppose when you have Rooney and Saha and Van Nistelrooy in the position, it's gonna be hard to break through. Guiseppe has the talent no doubts there. Obviously United rate him very highly because he wasn't loaned out as Spector, Jones, Johnson, Eagles etc were. Now Wayne is injured I expect Rossi to be in Sunday's squad to face Charlton. Had we have secured second spot already, I reckon Fergie would have started him. From what I've seen of the two, Rossi and Ruud have a good partnership - though I'm sure Rossi could play with anyone up front. Am I the only one that sees Gianfranco Zola like qualities in Rossi?


Also does anyone know where Floribert N'galula has gone? He's dissapeared entirely, I don't think he went to Antwerp.

Is he, I haven't seen him play for a bit, must be injured. On the subject of the reserves, young Markus Neumayr looks a good player, quite reminicent of a certain former United hero with the blond hair and no7 shirt!


Oh and congrats on the Treble for the reserve boys too - 5 titles last season, 3 this. What a team :rockman:

But at the same time we should still play Ruud in order to help him gain back the confidence and form. But some papers said Fergie will sell Ruud in the summer, who knows...

I thought I read somewhere that Saha and Ronaldo were a doubt for Sunday's match, this increases the chance for Rossi. All I am hoping for is a comfortable win

we definately need a win against charlton in order to secure the 2nd spot. btw, i think ruud will remain in united unless we are after another striker. i don't know why rumors are flying every where saying that we are going to sell ruud, he is still our top striker in this season :(

i'm happy with our strike force, what we really need are 2 midfielders, a defensive midfielder and a play making midfielder. we are lack of creativity from center midfield and unable to hold opponent off through center midfield either. this is the main thing that kills us this season

yep Ruud is indeed the top goalscorer again for us. But since that exclusion from the carling cup final...his confidence and form was given a blow. and things did not happen at all after that. I hope he doesnt leave.

Ferguson would get equal amount of blame as van Nistelrooy. He should have stopped sulking and display superb performances that he is well capable of.
