I posted them a few pages back.

More news, looks like the Obi Mikel saga is over at last. The papers over here (all of them, not just the comics) are reporting that Chelsea are going to sign Obi Mikel next week. They have apparently agreed a £12M compensation deal with the other parties (United will recieve £10M)

While I'm happy United are getting £10M for a guy who never even kicked a ball for us, I'm concerned that this sets a dangerous precident - if FIFA ratify the transfer, then surely the whole transfer agreement system is worthless as the bigger financial powers can just do what they like, even after two clubs agree a transfer (and in the Obi case SIGN for a club)

Plus that Bastard Kenyon has been crowing again on Chelsea (sorry Sky) TV.

Mike

Kenyon? Judas!
i think they should put a spending limiet or something like that in the transfer window. when abramovic first came it was ridiculous

sad to see marcus neumayr leave... hope he signs for a premiership club the boy is a talent
Yea, I just watched him play in the sevens and now he is released... :(
I should have said to him and persuade him to stay when I got his autograph :p But perhaps Fergie wants those youngsters to go and play first team football in other clubs.

Please dont let Lee Martin leave, he is really good on the left. Great skills and he's fast. But is it better for our reserves players to leave earlier if we are not going to play them in the first team?

What you are forgetting is that the boys who impressed on loan (like Chris Eagles, David Jones and the boys from Antwerp) will come back, so if Chris Eagles is seen as better than Neumayr (which he is) then obviously United need to cut Neumayr, talented though he is. Lee Martin is a good prospect, but Fergie is really impressed with some of the new youth lads. It's better to release these players rather than sign them on more expensive contracts.

As for the players themselves, United released Peter Beardsley and David Platt and Robbie Savage as youths and they didn't do too badly did they?
Look at David Healy - he's an international. It's part of football, but the talented players still come through to have good careers.

As far as further exits go, I reckon Liam Miller might be sold this summer. I'd like to see Fletcher offloaded too - but seeing as he's Fergie's "boy" I doubt it.

Silvestre is a possibility too (especially for good money), we'll have Gerard Pique added to the defence next season, Evra, Sheasy, Gabby, Kieran can all play the left back position so we're covered there.

Kieran should NOT be cited as a left back. Please, please no. I'd prefer Rooney in that position.

According to SkySports, Ben Foster has been contacted by the FA about being on standby for a world cup spot after Robert Green's injury. Scott Carson will take Green's place in the squad and Foster takes Carson's place in the standby slots.

That awesome news!

Richardson hasn't been too bad recently, i've got faith in the guy. tbh he's just as affective as a left-back as Evra.

Andrejs

Starting XI
If he has ANY future with United, it's as a backup left-winger. Heinze and Evra are better leftbacks, in my opinion...As a winger Giggs is better then Richardson and when Giggs will retire, we'll have Park there, who is also better then Richardson.

If Sheva is really joining Chelsea, I can't see us, Arsenal and Liverpool (and maybe Tottenham) competing with them, they have the chance of finding the missing piece to complete their squad and with Ballack also at Chelsea, they will be difficult (maybe impossible) to defeat

The only thing great about Kieran is his left foot.

yes, they will be difficult to defeat but not impossible. the best thing about chelsea was jose mourinho. i must admit his tactic brought chelsea solid foundation of defense, and used player at the right spot which fully show their talent. you may have the world best 11 in your team, but nothing is impossible.
