It seem's like the whole world is against Man Utd at the moment. Reading football websites since the victory, they're just criticising the referee's decisions in the match. Wes Brown's "handball" was not a penalty, it hit the side of his body, it might have touched his arm after, but his arm was by his side, and it hit his body first. No penalty. And the Vidic/Berbatov clash isn't even worth talking about, definitely not a penalty.

Good to see Nani playing well, especially after many doubted his ability to make it at Man Utd, lets just hope he continues to prove his worth. Another good game from Hargreaves aswell in my opinion.

Finally a win, we are surely lacking confidence, our boys looked a bit nervous, thanks to Nani's strike and Tevez' minor touch we got our much needed goal, I hope this kick start our season

Hargreaves/Evra will be my vote for MOTM. They showed urgency in the game, something some of the players lacked to do I felt. Hargreaves is knocking after the door for Carrick's spot atm.

And Brown's alleged handball, it was not handball. It hit his chest.

Hargreaves is showing more and more why SAF chased him a season long, he almost owned the midfield by himself, I thought Saha and Anderson would be fit for this match, I wondered what happened

Ferguson said he thought giving Saha another week would be best. He's peforming well in training etc, but it would be ideal to give him another week. In Saha's case, I think that is best, rushing him back and causing another injury would be a disaster. I assume it's a similar situation with Anderson, rushing any young player into games can hurt confidence, and there is no need to rush him back into a already crowded midfield.

One person I think deserves a bit of credit and flies under the radar sometimes, is Chris Eagles, he again looked lively when he came on.

That makes sense, thanks for the info

Great goal from Nani! :rockman:
It was looking really grim for a long time though, more goals guys but a win is a win and 3 points (Y)
Hopefully Ronaldo will be back soon and after his return Rooney as well.

I'm not gonna criticize you guys, but seriously, brown used his arm to block that shot. I saw it multiple times in slow motion and you can clearly see his arm move up just enough for the ball to hit him....

I think his arm is only moving out to break his fall though, it would've hit his side anyway.

I'm sorry, but i honestly believe it hit his left "breast". The berbatov penalty was worse than last weeks Liverpool-Chelsea fiasco. If last weeks wasn't a penalty, theres no WAY this weeks was.

How the hell Robinson starts for Tottenham week in week out let alone for England is way beyond me.

Rio should have been voted joke of the match if it wasnt for the goal line clearance.

Anyway Rossi scored for villareal!

I don't know about u but i got my eyes checked out 2 month's ago and they where fine!
the ball hit the side of his chest!! i can understand the doubt from players and fans at OT, because they dont get to see it 3000 times in replay but the ball did not hit his hand!
i got to say i pulled my hair at the moment it happend because it looked like a hand ball, but looking at the replay i was 100 % sure the ref made the right call.

Nani played well, think he will grow to be a star player! and owen is a warrior fighting for every ball for 90 minutes!!
:p

what a strike from nani though! it didn't even need the slight deflection from tevez, that would have gone in anyway! what a talent!

although you were the best team i think you were very very luck with the referee's decisions and the bad luck of berbatov
i don't understand how a player like berbatov isn't playing for a better club, he's absolute class

I was watching the game and I thought, this doesn't seem like the team that won the Premier League last season, I thought we looked a tired team sometimes, I think winning the Premier League has taken its tole on us. A lacklustered performance.

When I was watching Rio's clearance off the line, it reminded me of when I usually play in goal and when I usually screw up, it was like watching Conference footballing errors.

As for the Wes Brown handball incident, well, I watched the slow instant replays on both MUTV and MOTD and it wasn't a handball, it struck the side of his chest and the refereeing decision was correct.

All in all, we deserved the three points, we need to start going on a winning role now, and we have to play early catch up. A club of this size, deserves first spot.
