portos both goals were great...
its not easy to score how rodrigues did...bending it past vand er saar..he had alot of work to do...
even the second goal was deserved
porto should have won by 2 goals more

i wonder where fergies hairdryer is lost?

First off he was lucky to get that chance in the first place very poor defending by evans gave it away then right after let him shoot stood their and did nothing. 2nd goal don't even need to comment.

Man U's 1st goal was obviously lucky 2nd was perfection.

Frankly United always has had trouble with Porto.

United will win 2nd leg

Viewing the things like that, MU 2nd goal was lucky too, Rooney could have miss that pass to Tevez, and Porto's defender who was near Tevez could have intercepted the ball.

I didn't see the whole game but from what i saw Hulk wasn't at 60%, but yes at 49,9%.

Aye, Hulk didn't have the best of games, that had much to do with the heavy marking but also with his unwillingness to pass the ******* ball sometimes...But hey, he has the right to a bad game now and again...Quaresma had them 99.9% of the times and people still sucked his dick

What a disaster.

Even considering the defensive error, the first Porto goal could have been easily avoided. It was obvious that Rodriguez was going to cut to his left, every striker in the world watching that game knew that he was going to cut to his left and go far post...a better defender would have anticipated that move.

Honestly, we are extremely lucky, we played like amateurs for the first 70 minutes and should have rightfully lost the game. With the way things have been going lately I have next to no hope that we can win in Portugal.

We need to buy more defenders in the summer, plain and simple. Maybe strike a deal with Madrid to get us Sergio Ramos when Ronaldo goes.

great performance by porto, if there was a team that deserved to win it was them
to me, the man of the match was clearly fernando, he was a monster in that midfield
if porto plays at this level again at Dragão i think and hope they can win the game

ps: if you were impressed with hulk in this game, then wait to see what he can do when he plays well

So true.
Thinking about it, would Quaresma even have a spot in our current line-up?
the correct answer is big fat NO ******* WAY. Licha, Hulk and CR10 (H) are incredibly talented too but much more hardworking...also, they are not gay.

The same can be applied to P.Assunção, Fernando is making us realize we didn't really need that cocksucker anyway since he the kid simply is a better player and still has a long career ahead of him :coffe-anim:

Yeah sorry for the "hijack" dudes

I'll leave you with a glimpse of the insane **** the real Hulk can do:

It took me about 10 views to understand wtf he did there and htf he did it (H)

Should be an awesome match next week, both teams will look for a win surely.

LETS GET IT ON!

He can surely roll on the floor really well.

It wasn't actually that hard, he just did a reverse stepover and then chipped the ball forward with his trailing leg and then showed some incredible speed to beat the defender. The speed he bursted after that ball was actually the impressive part.

anyway, i can't be bothered to read this wankfest of the past 2 pages. 7 of our players just finished a tough game against Villa like 50 hours before playing Porto. Did any of you really expected us to outplay fresh and speedy Porto? Its a shame that both goals Porto scored were clear mistakes made by our players, but Porto deserved two goals. 2-2 is about right for a result today. United will be fresh for next wednesday and hopefully Ferdinand will be back then as well. I wish Brown or Rafael would come back, but i believe they are out for a while, right? Either, the record speaks against us, badly and Portugal has always been a tough place for us, but i don't see United losing there. Don't know about winning, but not losing. It all depends on whether we will be able to sort out our defense because Porto are speedy mother****ers.

Give me a break Porto also had an away game just one day before you guys did, a game we had to come back from 1-0 down, plus we had to travel from Porto to Manchester. Both teams are leading their leagues, still in their respective cups and you guys have two or three times the squad depth we have...If anything we should be complaining...

Yes, because Rooney's goal was straight from the chalkboard.

Pathetic, abject and complacent. Three words sum up United perfectly last night. Princess Ronaldo was trying flicks and tricks at stupid times, gave the ball away 95% of the time. (Porto's opener was his initial fault) And there was little interest in rolling his sleeves up and driving us forward.

Fatigue? Do me a favour, they're paid very handsomely to play football and be at the peak of physical fitness. It's complacency and lack of effort. And as I've said before that's the hardest thing to swallow as a football fan. Again our only driving force was Wazza.

Credit to Porto though, they certainly impressed me.

I'll tell you this - unless Sir Alex addresses and ends the complacency and arrogance inherant in our play, the wheels are gonna come off - Big time.

I think our current performance is all too do with fatigue. Not from the Villa game though the whole season. Extra games getting squeezed in here and there for things like the club world cup. Playing in every competition possible. The wear and tear is showing with our defensive frailties at the moment. Its clearly illustrated by us having one of the best defensive record too what we have now. I'm sure we have had more goals go past VDS in the last few games then we have had all season. Its been a while since we have had our defensive starting line up all playing regular together.

If you look at who we haven't got and other injuries bans etc Schole's for example looked horribly rusty. I don't think I've seen him pass that badly in years. He's normally our driving force, age and games taking there toll?

Look at all the people who have been banned, injured, rusty etc

Gary Neville
Owen Hargreaves
Wes Brown
Anderson
Nemanja Vidić
Dimitar Berbatov
Nani
Paul Scholes
Giggs
Rafael
J Evans
R Ferdinand
Wayne Rooney

I'm sure there's others. Then rub in the fact of how Ronaldo's played this season. Evra was out for a stint. Dodgy centre back formations due to people out.

Gary Neville as a centre back  That last goal happened because no one was marking the lad vs porto. Gary had the job of having to defend the guy in front knowing there was a guy behind. Would that of happened if he was playing on the right etc, I don't think so.

That's 13 players  that have been out for significant time, should be consistently excellent and a driving force too our team. Its not a wonder we been dragging our feet the last few games. Thank god some of those players have returned/returning, still its forcing other to play more then they should.

The other fact is were still scoring how we have scored all season which hasn't been a lot, the big difference is all the goals we have let in due to injury and fatigue.

We got more then a few problems but in spite saying that our cover ain't shabby. We have great depth, we will win more.

We could have been out of europe in the 1st 20 mins. I am not being pessimistic but i think the time has come for us to bow out. This is why no one has ever retained the euro cup. Its gonna be a hell of an effort if we can pull off a win away at porto. The defence has to be sorted 1st. Our defending has been absolutely abysmal. Hopefully we will give sunderland a good spanking to boost our confidence.

Oh and Porto totally deserved the draw. They played extremely well.

cant help it..but yeah we r gonna have another excuse of being tired due to the sunderland game..
as if porto never had any game over the weekend...

Yes they did, but as I said I fear for our season the way we're playing. I know we've got a game in hand on the dippers, but we've still got Citeh and the Arse to play in the run in.

It would be great to get a 2-0 against Sunderland, I think that would be a perfect tonic. I don't see us smashing them 4 or 5 though.
