For sure Everton will ask a ridisulously high price. Jones has similar characteristics too but is even better.

We could've got Nasri instead of Young for like 3-4 millions more. Why did we buy young as backup?

He hasn't done **** since September, so I don't see why he wouldn't. Regardless, the wage difference must be millions a year.

I doubt you could have got Nasri for that, he wanted to go to City, and I imagine the wages he is getting from City are more than double what you are paying Young.

I have to admit, unpopular I know, but I am still not 100% convinced by Young. Good player, but good enough for what should be one of the best teams in the world?

I was half joking about Rodwell, there are many better and better value options out there but he may be all you can get in January. Everton wanted 20m for him in summer which seemed high, and the price may have gone up now. But Everton are desperate for money.

Quite like the rest of the squad. Too soon to jump on the player's back.

And you are too slow to jump off the backs of players you have pegged as stars even if they prove otherwise.

So shining at the season's start (like the rest of the team) and then fading (againg, with the rest of the team) proves he's not a star? Please, I'll change my mind about players when they it's merited, not when a player is average for a few games, especially when he's playing in a new team.

Young was never going to carry ManU, and he needs the rest of the team to perform. I'm not saying he's been good so far, but the best is still in front of him.

He's been excellent for the past few years anyway, you'd have to be rash as **** to flog the player after 2 months of averageness.

I'm not sure he has been excellent over the past few years, he's shown flashes of excellence but also several bad patches and weaker aspects to his game. If he has been excellent, he would have been snapped up by a top team a lot earlier.

I mean, I am sort of in between both of you, it's not like he was bank breakingly expensive and he has made some positive contributions, but at the same time he has been part of a United team that's folded more than once and no one can claim he has really made a big impact or been a key influence on the team, and he is not young (pardon the pun) enough for United fans to expect much improvement. What they've got now is as good as he's gonna get, so there are questions over whether or not that is good enough for one of the worlds top clubs....

Young was bought for 18 millions and Nasri 22 millions. I'm not sure what Na$ri is earning now but Young is receiving 120-130k weekly. Nasri's Arsenal salary was 80k.

EDIT: His C*ty salary is 175k. I doubt we would pay him more than Rooney (150k)

I thought Young was only 15m?

And it has been reported that the Nasri fee may have been closer to 25m

Anyway I dont know but I would guess Nasri could be earning up to and maybe above 200k, plus will have had a huge signing on bonus.

Plus, as I said, I think United would have been charged more than City, and Nasri would have been less keen to go there.

Honestly I dont think the comparison is viable.

So our final lineup for the day is:

Lindegaard

Valencia - Carrick - Evra - Fryers

Park - Gibson - Rooney - Macheda

Berbatov - Hernandez

Bizarre.

Yeah and I don't know how the **** we won 5-0. I know it was against 10 players and its Wigan but still. At some point we had 4 wingers playing (Giggs, Valencia, Park, Nani). Excellent day with Chelsea and C*ty both drawing and Loserpool losing :D. I probably shouldn't even bother about Liverpool anymore now because they have been out of the "big 4"for a while now.
