Where do you want to play him? Wing back? Central midfield? Defense? Wouldn't make any sense if he was bought back.

Yeah, it would be real hard for him to unseat Januzaj for a spot in the first XI.

lol. Of course he would replace anyone in the lineup but my point is that we have way too many attacking players. We need proper CM and CBs.

I had a weird dream yesterday that we won 18-1 against QPR with our brand new players. :(

We still have a staggering 9 injuries.

The manager said at his Friday pre-match press conference: "When I left for the international break it was 10 [players injured] so only one is back – Shaw.

"Shaw is fit enough to play but not the whole game – there is a difference. [Marouane] Fellaini is longer than a month and [Phil] Jones is maybe three weeks or a month.

"[Michael] Carrick is not ready but he has run for the first time on grass, which is unbelievable after eight weeks. [Sam] Johnstone has elbow problems, [Chris] Smalling is not fit enough but he shall train tomorrow with the second-team squad for the first time.

"[James] Wilson and [Reece] James are not ready yet, and [Jesse] Lingard and [Ashley] Young are also injured."

Ander Herrera and Rafael are back and Shaw also but he may not be able to play the full game.

Young injured is a BIG blessing. Now that he won't be playing, we'll get the results we need.

I am predicting this for Sunday:

Jones out for 3-4 weeks is a big concern but this luneup looks so much better with Falcao, Blind, Rojo, Di Maria, Herrera and Rafael.

I definitely agree. I have said it before that we cannot play him in midfield. But unfortunately, that is probably what stubborn van Gaal will play. I would prefer a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1. We simply do not have the players for 3-5-2. Di Maria played there against Burnley and did very well but as you pointed out, waste of talent.

The team I posted above is what I expect van Gaal to play, not my favourite lineup.

This is what I would prefer

EDIT: Falcao, not cavani.

Or this:

I think I prefer Blackett instead of Evans also but I haven't seen enough of Blackett.

QPR is going to be a tough game. Their manager is 'Arry Redknapp and they have new signings Niko Kranjar and Sandro.

Will be interesting to see our lineup.

I'm not sure he "gave up his philosophy" seeing he has used loads of tactics throughout his career.

I was just joking. His philosophy is not just the 3-5-2 formation.

Listen to someone is something that Van Gaal would have never done 10 years ago

Maybe Ryan Giggs read SG and convinced him! But I agree, no one can change his mind.
