your counting success by who has the most famous players?

Even players who enter league 1 or the championship are of exceptional talent. Academies have many successful students.

Heres a list of teams and how many players under contract with top division teams as of 2014

Level 1
1. Barcelona (ESP) 61
2. Real Madrid (ESP) 46
3. Arsenal (ENG) 36
. Bayern München (GER) 36
. Lyon (FRA) 36
6. Rennes (FRA) 35
7. PSG (FRA) 33
8. Valencia (ESP) 30
9. Manchester United (ENG) 29

Yeah, in fact I have read somewhere that last year, there were more players playing regularly in the EPL coming from our academy than any other team. There are players like James Chester, Frazer Campbell, Ryan Shawcross etc. In that perspective, we've been doing pretty good.

Sure, but aren't you guys Manchester United? Your academy isn't there to produce league one players and call it a success

Lets discuss 1992 ...

Giggs was not really part of that youth academy ... he was in City academy

Phil Nevile and Nicky Butt were average and Gary Neville was way overrated ...

That leaves us with Beckham and Scholes ...

Its really nothing compared to La Masia that produced Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Fabregas, Pique, Bosquests and ...

Gary Neville held down the right back spot for the best part of his 20 years in the first team and you can claim Giggs he joined when he was 14.

That must be your perception of our academy.

We have a lots of players in the premier league, championship and league 1. Year on year, excellent results as far as academies come.

We also have the biggest list of hall of famers at the club, which I suspect will grow bigger shortly.

The Von Trapps
his point is that your academy should be producing talent good enough to make it to your own first team ... an academy that's producing players for the Championship/League 1, or the bottom feeders of the Prem, isn't good enough ...

Michael Keane has gone to Burnley on loan.

I don't think he's good enough for the EPL yet but hopefully he'll get some minutes.

Hope Cleverley has a good season also. He's still our player.

Important Nani news:

Nani played a one-two with Rui Patricio, broke into the right side of the box and had a man open on the penalty spot. Nani chose to shoot. He missed.

I think your expectation are too high, we have academy players in our lineup. Your fergie fledglings and that ilk don't come around every decade.

Thats just for United not loan spells, but either way its an unfair comparison. Danny was a 4th choice Striker, constantly played out of position often subbed on.

For example of those 142 games, 90 he started (then subbed off), 52 he was subbed on, most of which out of position.

And as you say... when he plays for England, played more in position and for more full games his stats speak for themselves.

The simple fact is he had the best conversion rate in our squad last season. His 'finishing' was better than anyone in our squad last season and when given a good run of games as a striker he got 7 goals in 8 games.

Ohh Crap i didnt know that...We should have loaned him to Real Madrid and sold chicha to Arsenal...Still he was a Man Utd lad...I wish him well

I think we should have kept Welbeck as 3rd choice and I didn't think we needed another striker. But I can't complain about Falcao.
