haha, "brave"?

Everyone is tripping over everyone else to say how this is such a big deal and blah blah blah, and whenever people don't "respect the dead" there's always some self righteous cock who has to scold you for it. Death to someone who isn't a friend or family member just doesn't mean anything to me generally, it doesn't affect my life in any way. And Mike has been out of the game for almost 2 decades now. Even as far as Michael Carlos*son goes, to me there is no difference between today and yesterday.

Actually you're just jealous and frustrated because you're not capable of feeling empathy.

the death is always a tragic incident but I have to admit that michael Carlos*son was neither mentally nor physically healthy for the last decade.. so maybe it was a timely go for him..

Theodorakis, you're right. For me, he died a long time ago, in the mid 90's, when his mental health started to get worse. Hell, the guy was insane since he was young, doing all those surgeries and stuff, knowing the risks of changing his skin colour. And for what? He was looking alright, was rich and musically successful...I honestly think the only problem was in his damn head, am I right?

Anyway, RIP because my first cassette ever was "Dangerous", back in 1994 and I remember listening to it all day the first week I got it as a gift. I still have that. (H) If it wasn't for this, I couldn't care less, because he wasn't that good imo, except for a few songs from the Thriller album.

I agree with this wholeheartedly.

Celebrity deaths always annoy me because of the immense amount of coverage they receive compared to the deaths of regular people, even when it's a celebrity that I actually have a lot of respect for, like Johnny Cash. It is unfortunate when talented people die while they're in their prime (ex. Heath Ledger) but this is not the case here.

Empathy for whom? Michael Carlos*son? He's dead. His friends and family? How are they different from the friends and family of thousands of people who die around the world every day?

doesn't matter if he's dead you can still feel sorry for him . I don't want to sound like some people's lives worth more then others but the difference is that Michael had so much impact on many people and generations grew up with his music while those thousands of people who die around the world will always remain anonymus.

I think I'm the only person in the world brave enough to say this:

I don't care. And I hate when people die and everyone convinces themselves how much they care.

I came here just to say that. I don't feel sorry for him dying one least bit. This guy had opportunities we'll never have in our entire lives, he did things we all wished we had done - and blew everything for the most part, and he did some pretty nasty and offensive stuff too.

I remember loving his music when I was a kid, he did at least 2 absolutely **fantastic** albums, but that is it. It's been 15 years since I cared about anything he did. To be honest, some of the attitudes he had got into my nerves at times, especially the baby/window accident, or going to countries with that stupid mask covering his mouth.

Funny how we, in general, celebrate more the lives of dead artists than politicians, scientists or

Michael Carlos*son got so much but deserved so much more. The media basically drove him to his death. Dismissing this as any celebrity death is pure BS. He was crazy some times but his music was pure genius. Name anyone who had songs as quality as Beat It,Billie Jean,Human Nature,Wanna Be Startin' Somethin,Baby Be Mine ... on a single album. MJ opened the gates for black musicians to be accepted by all races.James Brown, Ray Charles got their dues from opposites races, but they paled (no disrespect) in comparison to him. FFS the guy is a legend , acknowledge it,respect it and appreciate it. :mike: the legacy remains.

RIP king of pop. I really liked many of the songs he produced in the 80s and early 90s which piss on every pop song that's being produced these days.
