The Raconteurs-Consolers of the Lonely

This album was just so sudden and completely unexpected. It's as though they recorded it in an afternoon and dropped it on the market the morning after. Anyway, I can't say that there's anything awe-inspiringly brilliant about it, but it is definitely consistently solid. The hooks are sweet, the lyrics are enjoyable and the instrumentation has yer toes (or hoofs in the case of some of our Euro SG members) a tappin through out the entire album, man.

Favorite tracks....

-Hold up

-Consoler of the Lonely

-You don't understand

--Old enough/Top yourself.....can't decide between those two.

Anyway, it's definitely worth the purchase.

Senior Squad
Arctic Who's???

Pfft it's The Rascals now in a couple weeks. Out of Dreams, Freakbeat Phantom, Bond Girl, terrific songs, can't wait to hear the rest.

Coldplay's album sounds good but still disappointing, Keane will probably come out with something better.

Salute Your Solution is my favourite, very White Stripes style...

Carlos White is amazing, good album.

The Prodigy's new album... I hope Liam still have it in his blood. Big Beat songs or GTFO.

And Motörhead's Motörizer:

Gotta agree with you, it is one of the best things I've heard this year so far. If not the best. Much better than the first effort, more inventive and quite more catchy. And with Carlos White there, you couldn't expect any better. Favourites are Consolers Of The Lonely and Hold Up.

The Carter III by Lil' Wayne just dropped, and I have to say.... HOT FIRE!! Weezy F. Baby snapped on this one, and the Cash Money Millionaire went platinum his first week (first album to do so since 50 Cent's The Massacre). Really good album, and it made me go back and listen to The Carter II today, and I enjoyed it more than I remembered. Weezy is ******* sick. Possible hip-hop album of the year, it's gonna take something pretty cool to beat this, but everything that looks like it could be cool gets delayed indefinitely.

I used to like him, but having the radio on at work makes me hate his ******* guts. He's on EVERYTHING. And it's not that he's on everything, but the fact that it doesn't even seem like he's trying anymore. His lyrics turn worse as new songs come in. All the songs he seems to be on suck. A Million or whatever his new single seemed alright, but it's too sub par. I thought about getting it before I listened to the radio (the radio is on at work, so I can't really do much about it), but after all of this, anytime I hear his raspy ass chipmunk-like voice, I feel like I'm dying a little.

you know that I love you, Shifty*z, but that sh!thead (cant even bring myself to say his gay ass name) is probably the worst musical artist in the last two decades....the boy bands of the mid to late 90s have got more legitimacy and artistic merit than this utter disaster....I'm still convinced that his career is a joke....one huge ass troll like hoax on current pop culture, man.
