allright, you could do without the insults but thats fine. what i meant to ask was why you gave up even though we still had a shot. spurs look like they are going to win, but nontheless, we will have HCA for the first round, and then i doubt we can get farther if we dont stay healthy and pick up our D. im guessing a major change will happen if the kings do not get anywhere again this season. im not looking forward to it but its looking that way.


edit-i also forgot to say that this was our 4th game in five nights, and playing such a schedule, and fighting a team who is HUNGRY for a postseason berth is very difficult. not trying to make excuses, but i can see why we fell. it is, however, inexcusable when you are trying to clinch HCA which you will go nowhere without.

I don't want to come off as some super elitist asshole, but I don't enjoy being patronized. I know what I'm talking about, I've been watching basketball since the day I was born. Anyway, the scoreline during the 4th quarter with 5 minutes to play was/is enough reason to give up, also, T-Wolves are on a roll, so I don't see them faltering anytime soon.

Also, I'm tired of using the fatigue issue as a scape-goat for our losses.

nobody is using fatigue as a scapegoat, but i'm along with many other kings fans trying to figure out why we are in such a damn slump lately.

its not the lack of defense, we heaven't played D all year, and we had a very good record. therefore, i'm thinking its all the injuries. with brad miller and bobby Carlos*son out, we were not left with a very deep bench, and cwebb did not make things any easier. he should have come off the bench, and he has disrupted the flow of the offense, its not that hard to see.

there are no excuses for champions, and the kings do not look like a playoff team, much less a championship one. since you have that otherwordly understanding of basketball , how bout you give us your two cents instead of shooting down other people's suggestions.

Yes, it is the lack of defense, not entirely, but part of it, and you would have to be quite the naive fool to say other wise. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. And do you know why the Pacers win games night after night? It certainly isn't soley because of their superb offense.

Also, I said earlier in this thread that C-Webb coming back from injury and back onto the court disrupted the flow of the offense, so thanks for reiterating a statement in which I already stressed. I agree with you about the Bobby Carlos*on injury, though. Our bench clearly lacks the depth it once had. (Barry, Pollard, and the rest of the bench mob)

I believe I've already given my 2 cents, and I don't seem to recall "shooting" down other peoples' suggestions, novice.

EDIT: As for the possiblity of sacking Hilter . . . errr Adleman! Yeah, I'm iffy-iffy on the situation, kind of. He's made us what we are today, top West contenders, and the man is a legend in his own right, but we should've won a championship by now.

i think it put a dent in his COTY hopes, but i dont think hes out of it entirely... remember almost everybody picked utah to be last, nobody envisioned them to be fighting for a playoff spot with 2 games left in the season.

Exactly. That's why COTY should go to Terry Porter. Everyone picked the Bucks to finish last....in the EAST!!! And they are in position to get home court advantage in the first round.

Anthony Mason isn't on the team anymore. The "light it up" was from an old add when we'd have "Ray Allen, light it up light it up..Tim Thomas, light it up light it up, Sam Cassell, light it up light it up!" It's not quite as impressive this season.

In this case Voltaic Borusse is 100% correct. The Kings are not playing like they want to even go to the playoffs, much less win a series or two. C Webb isn't the problem (although it doesn't help that he missed the entire season); because no matter how long he's been out, he's an upgrade over Vlade in the starting lineup. I think it's a combination of the bench and the fact that other teams are starting to get ready for a playoff run, when the Kings are just not caring anymore.

Bob Sura only is doing well because he is on a team with 0 talented or even servicable players. SOMEONE has to get the stats and Sura's getting them. Hakeem should be mad that the Hawks aren't tanking the season because now that bad team might get the #6 pick in the draft instead of #1 like they really deserve. Also Sura did the Rickey Davis style "throw the ball off the rim intentionally to get the 10th rebound." So maybe you shouldn't congratulate him and worship him.

Just read an article from NBA.com and his attempt to get a triple-double last night was dissalowed :funny::funny::funny: that should be a lesson to the rest of the players.
