i don't know about lebron beating every record in college... he would have had to repress his game a little i think. he would have been forced to play within a team concept. in cleveland they basically gave him the ball and said go nuts. he just doesnt have an ego. if he was 5% like AI, lebron could average 30 points EASILY. in college i don't think his game would have opened up like it did by just going to the NBA. and in all honesty, i would much rather see this young talent in the NBA then in college. all this bull**** about grades and an education has somewhat of a truth to it. but if you have the skills to play in the NBA, you should go for it. i don't think an age limit should be imposed.

well... the 1 or 2 years of college is just for the young adults to 'mature mentally' ... all these kids get thrust into a world of being rich and famous surely will give them a shock or 2.. but who wouldn't when u are 18 or 19 and u suddenly get millions of dollars just to play basketball.
what the nba is afraid of is that these young kids MIGHT make some wrong choices just because they suddenly became rich and then ruin their lives... there might be some bad influences around them which they don't know how to cope with...

I'm sure for those of u who are in college or graduated knows how different high school life and college life is.... once a person goes to college it changes the person a lot.. coz u will be seperated from friends/families and meet new ppl .. and some will experience their first time of being independant and will see things in a new more mature perspective...

but of course all these things are just in general.... THERE ARE ALWAYS EXCEPTIONS where some that are mature enough to go pro..

Yeah, but those are just assumptions Carlos*y. I mean Lebron isn't really the exception to the rule here in any way. KG, Kobe, and T-Mac all kept their noses clean their first few years. And for this class of sub-20 year olds you have Deng, Howard, Jefferson, Livingston, Josh Smith, JR Smith all obviously focusing on basketball a lot more than on other things. It's a concern, but it just doesn't seem like a legitimate reason to keep talented players in the NBA.

And regarding college ball. Yeah, there would be more talent in the college game and it would probably make more money. Kids like LeBron and Melo had they stayed a few more years in college would have made a killing for their school and the college game. That's the reason why college coaches are all for the age limit and keeping kids for 4 years. Sure they want to win, but good coaches can win regardless; it's all about money and it's 100% money that the kids don't see a dime of. How much money do you think kids like Brand, Laettner, J-Will, and JJ Redick have earned for Coach K? I see him on every other commercial during march madness. The college game is a racket that protects its own financial interests and does NOT have the best interests of kids at heart despite what they claim. If anything really talented players should be encouraged to skip college entirely.

Orlando is sucking balls now. We're not going to make the playoffs; it's quite shocking because we were playing really good at the beggining of the season (we were first in the East at one point) :(

The AK-47 got injured again, this time a fractured wrist, and he is done for season. What a miserable year for the Jazz and Kirilenko.

I would love it if we got Bogut in the draft, imagine a PF - C combination of Okafor and Bogut for the future, ahhhhh...But Paul doesn't sound to bad either (H).

PS: it's not the Magic that suck it's just the Bobcats who keep on raping them (H)

Well Walker & Pierce should of never been split up in the first place, they are fun to watch and they know how to win but I"m afraid to say you guys aren't good enough to beat neither the Pistons nor the Heat.

edit: you guys got raped by the Knicks tonight :S

I can't believe the team got it's ass kicked so badly by the Knicks, really sad stuff. But I guess your right when it comes to Detriot and Miami. But I believe in miracles and no one thought the side could be Indiana back a few years ago but we sweeped them (or beat them in 5 games I can't remember exactly)

I doubt we can do the same against Miami but possibly Detriot (if their side loses R. Hamilton)

The Bobcats are in the best position of all the bad teams in that they would be happy with either Paul, Bogut, or Williams. The Hawks can't really use Williams because they have Childress and J-Smoove already. If you're Charlotte who do you take? A potential top 5 center, a potential top 5 point guard, or a potential top 5 Small Forward who probably has the biggest upside to be a SUPERSTAR than any of them. I'm thinking you gotta take Bogut because SF's grow on trees and they at least already have a decent PG, but Paul and Marv would also be good. Of course whoever gets the 4th pick is **** outta luck because this is not a very good draft comming up. Zero high school talent, good college talent but not kids you would take #4, and a lot of foreigners. Probably the deepest foreign class ever, but do you really want to watch the next Tskitishvili sit on your bench and eat salary for the next 4 years? And if Marv doesn't declare you NEED to get 1 or 2. And of course we all know the Lakers will win the lottery because that's just how the NBA works.

****! Jalen Rose has been awesome many times this season, but tonight he was just a ****in useless bastard like Milt Palacio normally is. Sometimes he gotta realize that it's not his day and he is not going to be Mr.*******Clutch and take all those forced shots in the end...

Goddam it everytime we get close somebody HAS to be a douchebag and **** up for us

Holy sh*t, did you guys see what D-Wade did at the end of the 3rd quarter tonight? Block from behind on Amare (think it was him), takes the ball and hits nothing but net on a halfcourt 3 to beat the buzzer. :| F*cking amazing. :rockman:

That was what seemed like a 75 foot shot unbelieveable stuff and he swished it too, but if you look at his stat line in that game 35 points, 9 assists, 8 rebounds you have to say to yourself "it was his night" so everything was going in.

PS: Lakers suck

Dwyane Wade is one of the top 25 players in the NBA and 3 times a game he'll make you say to yourself "what the ****? No one can do that!" Just STUFFING Amare and then swishing a 3/4 court shot? That's just rediculous.
