maybe if you weren't blind by your obvious hatred toward the kings you would see that the play doesn't start with peeler elbowing KG in the stomach. look at the whole replay and watch peeler get his lip busted by the pick set by sczerbiak and then shoved by garnet before he elbows him. get your facts straight before you start hating on a team. im not saying what peeler did was right, but it was damn well justified. i woulnd't take no crap shoving and getting hit here and there, id be pissed off too. and this was an elimination game for them, so i can see why he came out fired up.

I don't hate the Kings. I hate the rediculous bandwagon jumping and blind Kings following that goes on at this forum. The only one who can justify being a Kings fan is Pennington. Everyone else needs to shut up and go back to the Bobcats/Hornets/Bulls.
whats your basis for stating that ridicilous sentence? what does one need to do to classify oneself as a fan? please man, you just wanna start **** where there is none. people like a team, they root for it, the end. a fan is someone who supports a team, whether they have liked it since yesterday, or 20 years ago. a "bandwagon" fan is someone who jumps on the team when it starts doing good. since i see no way of you knowing when everybody here started liking the kings (unless you're psychic, in which case get out of my head) i dont see where you get off classifying who is a fan and who is not.
just heard the news... AP has been fined and suspended for 2 games. KG has been fined 7,500 dollars. the perks for being an MVP. he also made a really stupid "gangsta" comment about how he has his "m-16s, uzis, and grenades" because he is getting ready for war. he has been very classless, and i have lost a lot of respect for him. if peeler is getting suspended for 2 games, then KG should be for at least one. but thats our wonderful david stern... not doing Carlos in the most important game 7 of the playoffs. i also find it funny how brad miller got fined 10,000 for an obscene gesture to the crowd, yet KG only got fined 7,500 for pretty much a physical altercation with another player... weird.
also, while replaying the video, it shows that fred hoidberg stepped out from his own bench and was standing right by the crowd of kings/wolves players, when hoidberg was not in the game at the moment. artest did the same thing earlier in the season and was suspended by the NBA. i have a feeling that hoidberg will not be suspended... weird.

allright i've calmed down a bit... but i still stand by what i said... KG was an accomplice in this. to just get fined while on of our most important players (adelman only uses a 7 man rotation... peeler is one half of our bench force) is criminal. i hate the leauge for doing this, even if peeler's hit was a bit too much. it was still justified.
Does it matter? Peeler is nothing but a role player, and Garnett won't be suspended, so why all the bitching about who started that?

Unfortunately it's like that in every sport. Joe Horn and Chad Johnson get fined more than anyone who makes a helmet to helmet hit on a Quarterback or an illegal (and usually injury causing) chop block. It's one of the dumbest things around.
I've also calmed down a bit, but I still don't like the Kings, and it's entirely because it seems like everyone here likes them. I picked the T Wolves at the start of the playoffs, and I'm sticking with them. I think they got this wrapped up (as long as they FINALLY figure out that C Webb can't guard the MVP).

It is not just the fourm it everywhere. I mean it is in this town. Real Kings fans stop caring about the team a long time ago. I mean they still want the team to do well but they have pretty much gotten push out by the incredible bandwagon that got rolling.
People don't want to own season tickets to see the Kings they want season tickets to say they have Kings season tickets and they are willing to pay alot more money than the tickets are worth. The Maloofs are not dumb bussinessmen they keep raising ticket prices because these dumb ****s will keep paying.
The only thing that most of the fans know about basketball is Kings=Good and Lakers=Bad. They have a very basic knowledge about the game of basketball in general. I have heard them. They toss out terms like pick and roll and half court trap to sound smart but they have no clue what they are saying.
The thing that real pisses me off is these people that wear the baby blue uniforms and couldn't tell you the difference between Lionel Simmons and Lionel Ritchie. I mean it isn't fair to the people who sat through the crappy teams rooting them on and know can't even get into a playoff game because someguy who five years ago thought all sports were for jocks has more money to spend than the real fan.
If this team were to have two losing season in a row they would have no fans left. Half of them would leave as soon as the losing starts. The other half would spend time calling sports talk radio making bizare trade proposals and saying the coach needed to be fired and those guys would leave too leaving the Kings with no one to come see them play. I mean the Kings sold out games several seasons in a row because the fans were loyal to the team even though the team sucked they were still loyal. The fans that go to game know are fake. They will turn their back on this team as soon as things start to go south.
As for me I have grown up watching the Knicks and I will always be a Knicks fan but it is interesting seeing how the Kings have changed over time.
