Like someone said, it's the end of an era...:(

I'm very sure, most of the players will not make it back for the next season. Among those i see, Fox, Malone, Payton, maybe Cook...and brian

Pistons deserved this chanpionship, they were lacking "superstars" but had a great desire, and energy for winning this one.
Congratulations!

for this you should be shot. he was the dirtiest player who took a pay cut to play for a team that had the best chance of winning. why didnt he take a pay cut to play for the clippers? he's a sellout for abandoning the jazz after he built a empire there. i feel no remorse for him or his injuries. he got what he deserved.

Why didn't he take a paycut to play for the Clippers? Because he wanted to win a Championship. Malone knows he wasn't going to be the star anywhere, but wanted to be the missing piece; in LA he could have been.

How is he a sellout for abandoning the Jazz? He made it to the finals 3 times with the Jazz, if I'm not mistaken, and won nothing.

If anything, he's probably one of the loyalest players ever.

you misunderstand. to me he is a sellout, this is a personall opinion, and a very strong one, therefore don't make it seem like I am trying to make it seem like what I say is how it is supposed to be. he played his whole career (an illustrious one) for one team, the Jazz. he and stockton were lifelong partners and created a bond that many felt like was unbreakable. he was a legend, and could have retired and become known as the greatest PF ever (still might be, check later when KG retires) but he chose to keep playing for ONE REASON - to get a ring. he left a dynasty, and betrayed his fans and his team, only to win a ring. to me, that is being a sellout. to you, it might be a smart business move. i'll take loyalty over a fancy ring anyday.

I'm not going to respond to the person with the Asian-esque name, because he or she obviously had a difficult time trying to interpret my previous post.

That's fine, I see your point. We're both looking at this situation from a different perspective. I don't agree or disagree with the decision Malone made in playing with the Lakers, that's his prerogative. I think he earned the right to leave for a winning team. Also, I think the majority of the Utah Jazz fans might disagree with you about the whole back-stabbing bit. Had he left the Jazz in the middle of his career for another team, then yeah, I'd of labled him a back-stabber. But a back-stabber now? Nah.

Phil Carlos*son is thinking about retirement now that the Lakers are about to split up. I would love to see him coaching the Hawks or the Clippers to see how "good" he really is :kader:

thats been the argument about phil Carlos*son through his career. first he had jordan, one of the best players of all time, and now he had shaq and kobe. he never played with a team that didn't have a dominant player.

Malone isn't a sellout. He didn't leave a dynasty, he left the worst team in the league. He also didn't leave the Jazz for more money (which is actually selling out), but for a chance to win the biggest competition in his sport. No one said Ray Bourque was a sellout for going to Colorado to win a Stanley Cup.

seeing as how this is my opinion, i don't think being a sellout has anything to do with money. he left a team for which he fought his entire career for and never got a ring. he is a dirty player, and he did not deserve a chance for a ring. why didn't he join the hawks and look for a ring? he joined with the team that had the best chance of winning. he took the easy way out, and that is the way of a sellout. why didn't stockton stick around and join the lakers or the wolves to get a ring? he has things called morals, something malone clearly lacks.

also, if you think jazz are the worst team in the leauge, you know nothing about baskeball. missing the playoffs in the west by a margin of one game is the mark of a good team who lost their leading scorer and probably second best player on the team 33 games in the season. you might wanna take a look at the bulls or clippers in the "worst team" department.
