Well Damn. :(

Detroit deserved to win, they were clearly the better team.

I hope the Lakers don't split up like the Bulls did, that would be a shame.

We'll have to wait and see. There is always next year. :(

No one on the Lakers can guard Rip Hamilton? Uh....Kobe Bryant is one of the best defenders in the league. Sheed cannot guard Shaq at all and if you think Ben Wallace can, then you're crazy. The Mailman will take Big Ben out of the lane, or make him pay with his midrange j that has always been a mainstay of Malone. With Wallace out of the lane, Shaq will just DOMINATE. Rip Hamilton still can't/doesn't play defense, so Kobe should tear him apart; if they put Prince on Kobe it will be bad, but not as bad. Kobe still will own Tayshaun. Chauncey is probably not good enough to abuse the aging Glove and Tayshaun is not good enough to abuse Fisher or George. The key is going to have to be Sheed knocking down the outside shot, but if the lakers are smart they will play the Mailman on Sheed and put Shaq on Ben Wallace since Malone can defend the perimeter and Ben doesn't need to be defended even in the midrange. Breaking down this matchup means it is just plain obvious that the Lakers will beat Detroit. It could even be a sweep, but I'll give the Pistons some credit and say they'll take one from the Lakers like AI and the Sixers did. Lakers in 5.

ouch.

and congratulations to Larry Brown. He deserves it.

You can hope all you want but I think it will happen. I don't think Phil will be back and no one has a clue as to what will happen with Kobe with everything that's going on with him.

Well, Detroit deserved to win. They were without a doubt the better team throughout the entire series. Congrats to them and to Larry Brown, the oldest coach to win an NBA title. (Y)

We'll be back next year, I'm sure of it. :p ;)
